i always liked the original as well as GMK and 85, those two are just really mean looking

a creature with the ability to grow to that size should in all likelihood have the ability to adapt to being that size so all this rigmarole about the creature's exploding from the pressure with its own body is invalid.

He should be as smart as Godzilla...Yeah i know that info doesnt help much...

But he should be more than an animal. 

This wouldn't be a bad thing if Godzilla was more Crocodile than Dinosaur.  Actually before producing the original Godzilla, many suit designs were made, some were interesting, some were weird, and one even seem to be a bit Crocodile-like.  So in a way it could be using a scrapped idea for the original film.  But hey, as long we can make out that it looks like Godzilla, then I'm not worried.

i give the design a 9.5/10 but the only thing i didnt like about the design is the feet and i didnt give it a 9 because i dont think they will be showing the feet very ofthen in the movie anyway

i thinck its possible that later on a younger godzilla could be a failed attempt to clone godzilla(the failed attempt thing allows for a more individual appearance). Godzilla could adopt it, then see it get killed, adding to his whole lonliness thing.

BIDERBECK, i'm glad to see that someone hates the idea of godzilla having gills as much as i do. they would indeed limit him, godzilla can surivive in space like a water bear for crying out loud!!

I agree with Kyero and The True American Godzilla about the height.  I say that 779 feet does sound quite outlandish compared to the older Godzilla's and the fact that Gareth said he was just going to be a little bigger.  But, what I have a hard time looking past is that shot in the teaser trailer where he is not far from what is without a doubt the 555 California building in San Francisco.  I know the angle may be somewhat misleading possibly but whether he is hunched over or not in that shot he looks massive and regardless of numbers and statements it is hard to look past that.  Even though I don't want a Godzilla that is so big he dwarfs massive buildings or that he can't even hide, this Godzilla is going to be plain big and scary.  We can speculate and debate all that we want (which is good) but none of us will have a better idea till we get something official before or during the movie I guess.

i just thought of something, pherhaps they are not gills as much as vents. he could use these vents to suck air in, and then blow it out his mouth to help direct his atomic breath. he could even use this in reverse to help him swim faster and stuff like that. of course i would still preffer my overlapping armor theory that ive talked about before.

It's probably the best movie in the millennium and it was really nice to see a TOHO Godzilla in theaters for the first time for me since I wasn't alive when Return of Godzilla was released.

@DURP004 makes a great point, Biollante can turn back into energy particles and flee. Live to fight another day type deal.

If Kiryu wanted to kill biollante it would need to blitz all out and go for a fast and deadly kill but it would be really difficult against a fully evolved Biollante. If Kiryu can't find a way to kill Biollante fast then Biollante will win.

Now Jet Jaguar against Biollante...that's a no contest Jet Jaguar win ; )

It's called an opinion and every1 is allowed to have one. If I find Godzilla's ending design to be God awful and hate it I have just as much right to post it as you and every1 else who think that new design is amazing.

@GOJIRA113 - "What good is it to have now?" Is that a serious question? If so, you're kind of an idiot so allow me to answer your question and help you learn something in the process.

Nothing in this world that truly "breathes" underwater does so without the use of gills. Nothing. Certain creatures that don't actually have to breathe are creatures like jellyfish who can process the oxygen in the water through their skin due to their relative inactivity and the fact that they expel very little to no energy from just floating around on a current. Anything and everything that leads an active lifestyle, in other words that moves around on its own without relying on a current, must breathe through the use of gills.

"What good is it to have now?" A lot, actually.

Is Godzilla sedentary or active? Active. Can Godzilla's lungs process oxygen from water? No., otherwise they are no longer classified as lungs. How realistic would he be if he could breathe underwater without a proper explanation in a modern world? Not at all.

In order for Godzilla to be realistic in any way and keep his breathing under water trait, gills are really his only option. He's too big and too active to breathe without the use of gills as in order to breathe through his skin he must be either sedentary or small enough to expel close to zero energy.

Another fact that all the gill haters out there seem to overlook is the fact that Godzilla's ability to breathe underwater was never touched upon in detail in any way. Just because he didn't have external gills didn't mean he didn't have them elsewhere. Even internal gills are still gills.

"A breathing device in his nose." Guess what? Still gills!

Gills are defined as respiratory organs which assist the life form in processing dissolved oxygen from water which allows them to "breathe" and provides their body with the oxygen they need without having to return to the surface to breath air. Whether they are external or internal does not change what they are. Godzilla's lack of external gills in the Toho franchise does not change the fact that he must have had some sort of oxygen processing system, and that was in all likelihood a set of internal gills either in his nose or throat to stop his lungs from filling with water and drowning him.

So I'll say it again just for you GOJIRA113: In order for Godzilla to breath underwater with any believability in a modern age he must have gills. It does Godzilla no good to not have them. He'd be relying on holding his breath which is not a classic Godzilla trait.

I hope you learned something GOJIRA113. If you didn't, then you didn't pay attention.

Anyway! As for the Big-G's look, I like it. The main concerns I had about him all this time were whether or not he'd have spines that were at least remeniscent of his original (which they are) and whether or not he'd have a giant neck and tiny head (which he does not). I'm quite satisfied with the new look.

Nope. As much as i love Minya/Minnila/Mi-whatever, i like the idea of Godzilla being a lonely, last of his kind.

The Godzilla vs Biollante suit was done so well; even when surrounded by newer more updated suits it stick out the most to me.

I like this. It really shows how out of place the 98 design is. There is atleast some resemblance with the 2014 version. 

Lol, as soon as i saw the name of the thread...Oh dear. But its true none the less. But as alot of people have said, TOHO wouldnt. And at the momment, they actually CANT (i think). Legendary is using it, and untill their license is out, TOHO cant just sell it (Again, i think XD)
