Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a painting of Godzilla I did when I first heard of Legendary's Godzilla about a year ago at ComicCon. At that time, the design for Godzilla hadn't been revealed clearly yet, so I painted this with my own rendition of what I thought the new Godzilla would look like. I was really trying to capture that more gritty, darker feel of utter destruction.

I'm planning to re-do this painting with the confirmed Godzilla design! I'm also probably a better painter now (I Hope!), so please stay tuned!

It's cool, but it looks too pacific rim like. I don't like the eyes and all the little cracks, and the glowing mouth. I'm not a big fan of those "Godzilla, the destroyer of worlds!!!!" take on the character.

So YOU are the painter of this image! I remember being annoyed by it because I wanted the official design, not some stupid artist crap =). In all honesty, this is an awesome painting, and I have always liked it. I would LOVE to see your revision with the real design. That's gonna be awesome!
