^Doggiezilla, that's just the signature thing. lol that's not what the console said.
I've already posted my ideas on what I thought Monarch was, and what I believed this character's goals were. You can read it if you want. lol I don't feel like typing out ten paragraphs again.

Yes, toy rights have been announced.. I believe.. Neca, bandia, bandai creations, SH monster arts (I believe), and maybe x-plus. I'm not exactly one hundred percent sure.
BCrockett94Godzilla 2014 ForumSome Theories of mineDec 17, 2013Reply
1. the monster in the 2012 concept trailer was replaced by the insectoid mutos in the 2013 version of that same trailer. This second mutos thing was also shown in the 2013 trailer (the "actual" trailer, if you will). I highly doubt that BOTH monsters will be making an appearance, but HEY you never know.
That aside, a monster in the likeness of J. Carpenter's The Thing would probably be pushing itself into the R rating. lol I like it. I don't think they're going to be putting a shapeshifter into the 2014 movie, maybe a sequel, but again.. I could be wrong. Again, would be bad ass.
2. Edwards only referred to Godzilla as an antihero once. People just reference that interview a lot, making it seem as though Edwards has said it thousands of times.
3. To be honest, I could care less how Godzilla came into play. Though I do believe it involves nuclear elements still. I just don't think everything needs to be explained, especially if Legendary plans on doing anything more with the character.
4. Godzilla hunting the mutos? that actually sounds like an interesting concept.
For the most part, I really liked your ideas.
BCrockett94Godzilla 2014 ForumGodzilla's Foot Size and Further Proof of Overall Size!Dec 17, 2013Reply
I've thought of this already. xD It wasn't on this site, but on google+ with my youtube friends. We figured this wasn't really any sort of evidence.
There's several problems with using this image to estimate Godzilla's size however. The main thing being is that we don't know what crushed that train underfoot. The second thing being our lack of knowing what part of the foot crushed the train. Was it just the heel, or was it at the wider part of the foot, probably near the metatarsels? There's just not enough to really deduce Godzilla's size here. It's more than likely one of the "mutos".
Notice the hole in the left one? It looks like something was trying to get in there, and that hole is much too small for Godzilla. Basing this guess off the "beak" thing I've read on Chris Picard's trailer analysis, that makes more sense than Godzilla breaking in to it.
I firmly believe that this scene is a "day after the mutos have dinner" sort of thing.
MiketheG7453Godzilla 2014 ForumGodzilla's Foot Size and Further Proof of Overall Size!Dec 17, 2013Reply
If anything of Godzilla compressed that car, it might be a toe. Not an entire width of the foot. way to small...could be a MUTO as well. But i'm inclined to agree with the above statement...just some random destruction. Remember..that snipit of footage comes from the original teaser from 2012...nothing was even being filmed yet so we may get something entirely different as far as the train goes.
King Godzilla24.7Godzilla 2014 ForumGodzilla's Foot Size and Further Proof of Overall Size!Dec 17, 2013Reply
The image is kind of irrelevant as it does not really give us a clear image of his size & a foot size will not determine his length, width or height IMO. This image is just a classic destruction scene left by the King of Monsters.
GODZILLA HIMSELFGodzilla 2014 ForumSome Theories of mineDec 17, 2013Reply
realistically, why would legendary make something look like hedorah?, when you can have it be like destroyah? no offense to hedorah fans, but hedorah looked like a slimy, steaming, giant, living turd. while making something cool out of hedorah is possible, matt frank did it with g-neo, it would be pretty difficult compared to making something like destroyah look cool.
GODZILLA HIMSELFGodzilla 2014 ForumGodzilla's Foot Size and Further Proof of Overall Size!Dec 17, 2013Reply
considering that there is no indication of another footprint, he has a very large stride.
metaljazzfunkGodzilla 2014 ForumThe new Godzilla's postureDec 17, 2013Reply
There is no doubt that G-fans are devoted, but (as a collective) we can also be very quick to judge (especially with this upcoming reincarnation). Many fans are already worrying about The King's posture after having seen him through the goggles of the HALO jumper in the trailer. It's important to remember that they are also seeing him through a dense blanket of smoke.
All we see in the opening sequence of the trailer is the silohouette of Godzilla.
What most are forgetting, is that Godzilla dorsal plates do not have to perfectly follow the contour of his back. They can increase in size very quickly from where they begin (along his neck) to where they are largest (which is typically below his shoulders). As a result, the outline of his dorsal plates is not necessarily a reliable indication of his posture.
If you really want to get an idea of Godzilla's posture in this movie, just watch the final scene of the trailer. Our eye's are incredibly good at perceiving depth, and as you are watching Godzilla turn amidst the falling debris, you can clearly see that he is standing upright. In other words, G'14 is not a kaiju-equivalent of Quasimodo.
While the angles of perspective are different in the images below, I hope they provide some solace.
AkagiGodzilla 2014 ForumThe new Godzilla's postureDec 17, 2013Reply
I think he will stand up right when looking around or fighting, but when moving, hunched over. Everything I've seen suggests hes a bit of both.
I don't understand the fan hate for him being 'hunched over'. The fact that a CGI realistic reature would look just awkward and silly standing 'straight up'. We have to remember, this is based on what works well realistically. We can't have Godzilla's head sitting flat on his neck like a humans, that isn't how animal's heads work. Even a Giraffe moves with its head neck hunched.
Akio123Godzilla 2014 ForumHow intelligent should Godzilla be?Dec 16, 2013Reply
Not smart like King Kong, and not a mind-less brute. More so of a Tiger. Or a Crocodile. Very instinctive, yet intelligent in its own way. He is TOO DAMN BIG to recognize a humans face and go into some stupid, "Flash back" or something. Or gain a certain hatred for humans or whatever. Make it beliveable. He represents the force of nature. A hurrican, tornado, things that can't be stopped, yet so destructive. Not because it chooses to harm, or to save, but because that is its nature. Destruction. His intelligence should show when he needs to defend himself against the other monsters lurking in this story.
Durp004Godzilla 2014 ForumHow intelligent should Godzilla be?Dec 16, 2013Reply
Just slightly smarter than your average animal. I like the idea of Godzilla being driven by instinct. It allows counter play and ways to fight against him or drive him away for the humans.
G-RaaGodzilla 2014 ForumHow intelligent should Godzilla be?Dec 16, 2013Reply
Godzilla should show some signs of intelligence or cunning. He's definitely more than a simple raging animal, he's a force of nature with a mind. I want to see him recodnize certain things or maybe even certain people he encounters multiple times. Of course he should show some emotion as well, but most importantly I don't want to see him be guided by bird calls like the 1985 version. I always thought that was kind of stupid that birds could lure Godzila away.

Wow, great find! I never thought to type in "storm". I think it is the American Godzilla. After all the American Godzilla has a built-in nuclear reactor to power the Atomic Breath (and who knows what else with this version). Godzilla could easily be causing the distribtion as he/she travels to San Francisco

This is the story I'm stickin' to and you cannot change my mind!!
I like him as Zilla, BUT I HATE HIM AS GODZILLA 1998!!!!!!!!
Gojira SenpaiGodzilla 2014 ForumGodzilla and MUTO Toys Revealed? [UPDATED]Dec 16, 2013Reply
We call them Mutos because... That's what they're called? All the toy descriptions refer to "Winged Muto" and "8 Legged Muto", Muto is their species, so until we get specific names, that's what we call them. It's not a completely new term from the virals.
UchiMataGodzilla 2014 ForumWill There be a baby Godzilla in the new movie ?Dec 16, 2013Reply
I hope not. The only Godzilla offspring worth noting was Godzilla Junior, and he didn't get cool until his third appearance. Besides, there's no need for a baby Godzilla for a sequel, Godzilla SHOULDN'T die. If he does, then they failed. The idea of the Oxygen Destroyer was because Toho didn't expect the movie to be as popular as it was.
UchiMataGodzilla 2014 ForumThe new Godzilla's postureDec 16, 2013Reply
I'm sure he'll be upright, but somewhat hunched over. From that tiny clip we saw in the trailer, and the comic con experience thing, he looked to be somewhat hunched over, but he's not postured like a T-Rex thank god.
UchiMataGodzilla 2014 ForumUPDATED INFORMATION: I was wrong in my 2014 American Godzilla size Dec 16, 2013Reply
779 would've been too big. You guys are looking too hard into it, the director himself said he'd be bigger than before, but not by much. You're taking it too seriously. At the end of the day, just be happy that he'll at LEAST be as big as he was in the heisei series, but not as big as you estimated. Just wait and see.

As much of a soft spot as I have for Final Wars, it really is mess of a movie. I praise it for being a very different Godzilla film (probably the most different of the prior 30 years), but it didn't pull it off very well at all.
I'd like to consider it a satire of the series, but the benefits of calling it such do the movie, an series, less favors than fans wish.

Daikaiju DanielleGodzilla ForumNumber 1 worst godzilla movieDec 16, 2013Reply
I'll have to agree with Algerin7713 when I say that Godzilla: Final Wars was pretty weak. I like the designs of the monsters, and Monster X was pretty neat. However, the whole film focused waaay too much on the people and aliens.
The whole thing just fell short, and it was very rushed. Definitely not a good ending to the Japanese Godzilla franchise.

Which is the case for anything, especially movie related. The idea is support that opinion as best as possible.
I'll second guess and assume much of it has to do with my opinion on the Heisei series which you enjoy a lot. I do as well and am often one of the first to defend it amongst most of the fandom, but I can't exactly argue against its many weaknesses.
