What are those Dinosaur-like bird creatures in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters? Officially known as Needlewalkers / Needle Walkers, these bipedal bird-like creatures are a native to Skull Island. They are roughly the size of a large Ostrich and are characterized by the plumage of needle-like feathers which cover their body.

Introduced in Monarch Season 2
The Needlewalker was first introduced in the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2, Episode 4. Discovered confined within an Apex Cybernetics facility, it's revealed that Apex have stolen Needlewalkers, among other creatures from Skull Island for the purpose of conducting experielments on them. The purpose of these experiments are to manipulate the creature's brain waves, minimizing their aggression so they can become more docile. On the surface, Apex's goal seems innocent, with an intention of peacefully cohabitation with the Titans and creatures of Skull Island. However, as we later learn in Godzilla vs. Kong – the company's motives are far more sinister.
In Monarch S2 E4, Lee Shaw and Kentaro release a band of Needlewalkers from their captivity to cause a distraction in order to escape the facility unnoticed.

Needlewalker Temperament
While the Needlewalkers may reassemble carnivorous Dinosaurs and look intimidating, they pose very little threat to Humans. They're considered highly territorial but non-aggressive.
