RiseGoji is a unique redesign of the classic Toho monster by Luis Duran. The redesign has been worked on for nearly a decade. Luis Duran, an avid Godzilla fan, toy collector and filmmaker celebrates a proper embodying of his concept thanks to a collaboration with Jared Modina! RiseGoji draws inspiration from a wide array of creative sources including Shoebill birds, Green Iguanas, Crocodiles, Frilled Sharks, Tiger Sharks and embodies aesthetics akin to Stan Winston's unused Godzilla (1994) design and Toho's GMK Godzilla. While initially criticized by some within the Godzilla fan community when it was first debuted, the RiseGoji design has since grown on many and has even inspired its own subculture of fans and fan art.

RiseGoji made its debut in Luis Duran's own Godzilla Rise for Destruction fan film roughly 9 years ago and will be making an appearance again this summer in a new fan film by Duran.
