Introduced in Monarch Season 2

The Needlewalker was first introduced in the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters Season 2, Episode 4. Discovered confined within an Apex Cybernetics facility, it's revealed that Apex have stolen Needlewalkers, among other creatures from Skull Island for the purpose of conducting experielments on them. The purpose of these experiments are to manipulate the creature's brain waves, minimizing their aggression so they can become more docile. On the surface, Apex's goal seems innocent, with an intention of peacefully cohabitation with the Titans and creatures of Skull Island. However, as we later learn in Godzilla vs. Kong – the company's motives are far more sinister.

In Monarch S2 E4, Lee Shaw and Kentaro release a band of Needlewalkers from their captivity to cause a distraction in order to escape the facility unnoticed.

Official Monarch Field Note

A recently observed superspecies, the Needlewalker is a tall, fleet-footed territorial prowler whose movements blur the line between grace and violence. Covered in rigid dermal spines that flex and bristle with motion, these bipedal creatures carve deep grooves into stone and metal alike as they run, their momentum carrying the force of a small landslide. Each limb terminates in elongated digits tipped with needle-sharp talons capable of anchoring to rock or soil mid-stride. When sighted in groups, they display pack coordination and acoustic signaling that suggests a complex social structure.

Monarch field teams recorded their distinctive quill arrays vibrating in unison during pursuit, behavior believed to aid in spatial awareness within subterranean darkness. Little else is known of their origin, but evidence indicates they are surface migrators from deep below, drawn upward through terrestrial fissures in response to seismic activity and Titan migration cycles.

Needlewalker Temperament

While the Needlewalkers may reassemble carnivorous Dinosaurs and look intimidating, they pose very little threat to Humans. They're considered highly territorial but non-aggressive.
