Godzilla marathon beginning a couple of weeks before May 16.

The second one. Much improved over beer-belly Gigan and Buzzsaw Gigan was just too much.

Wow, y'all mentioned a bunch. I would have to say Gabara, and the super-sized regular creatures (praying mantis, spider).

It seemed like King Ghidorah and Mothra were down-sized for GMK. Baragon was just Bantha fodder.

The first movie I saw was Godzilla with Raymond Burr. I would dread the first appearance of Big G over the hill. But to be in a big suit and get to knock down scaled down buildings, awesome! My middle school students will say, "You can tell it's not real." My reply, "That's not the point." #noimagination

It wasn't that bad of a movie but it was better than Godzilla's Revenge. Maybe in the future i will watch it again, just not now

One of my Top 5 favorties for sure, i loved the part after the guy was found in the exploded and he says to the guy that ordered the explosion "HEY ***HOLE" my favorite line in the whole godzilla franchise

Like that guy said ^ SG is more of a mutant but this is a hard choice, Mecha-G was cool and so was Gigan 2004 and King Ghidorah got kinda old to me and Orga had unique powers, But you guys are forgetting Monster X he was cool. But seriously, Megalon was my favorite hands down.

So far on what we know, it looks fine to me, it looks like the original Godzilla and i'm happy with that.

Maybe the 1 Category 5 could take on Godzilla, and the 2 category 4's like somebody said it would be a challenge

Aside from GMK being ok. The Millennium series sucked as a whole.

I'd definitely be interested in some new monsters, but at the same time my nostalgia wants to see some old monsters brought back lol

Godzilla Destroy All Monster Melee for GameCube. I liked the smoother graphics and smoother game play rather than Save the Earth for PS2. Play the two games side by side, Melee looks and plays better. Not saying Save the Earth is bad, I just like the Melee one better. I wish they would make a new Godzilla game and have all the versions of Godzilla through out the years as DLC

I agree 100% protoantonio. that is the true spirit in which it is intended. I have no problem him fighting other monster..look forward to it, but only because they are in his way. I like the idea of a force of nature and we created it.

This is so easy: Showa- Godzilla vs. Hedorah (seventies cool!) Heisei- Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla 2 (most intense/fun G movie IMO) Millennium- Godzilla: Final Wars (just an overall amazingly entertaining flick)

Omg. I really want that. Why isn't it made. I want it I want it. That looks like the greatest ride in the history of everything. Go back anywhere in history, to any place, and there will not be a better ride, EVER!!!

G84- When Godzilla pushes the building and crushes Super X-1

1. Atomic breath, ray, beam, whatever. One of the main things that distinguishes him, and makes him unique. 2. He should be instantly recognizable as Godzilla. Should be no doubt what monster this is. 3. His roar ('54 is my fave), so close to that.

I didn't really like final wars either, it focuses way too much on the cheesy characters. It seems like there aren't any big fights until an hour in, and the fights aren't that long. They also gave us a few obscure monsters, instead of ones we might have wanted, basically talking about Ebirah. I guess it was a good homage to showa, but it was too floppy for me. BUT the ultimate thing I hate that everyone else likes is the design of final wars godzilla. The snout is too long, they need to have bigger dorsal plates, really prominent ears, and he was just too slim for me. I know they were trying to make him slimmer for all the fighting he'd be doing, but they could have done it better, IMO.

Yes zilla was a very cool relaestic monster but not GODZILLA;how could u hate FINAL WARS it was a great homage to the showa era of godzilla films and yes the could have done without minilla/minya;GMK was awsome loved it you'd be surprised how many other pplk liked it.

It is true with his movie MONSTERS u dont realy get a good look at the giant octosquidjellyfishes till the end of the movie sooo i can see how that can be a concern;CLOVERFIELD is another example but than again zilla98 got plenty of screen time so who knows? we'll just have to wait and see.

Showa- either Gojira (Japanese version) or King Kong vs Godzilla, can't decide. Heisei- the return of Godzilla Milenium- Godzilla GMK (Japanese version)

There's a lot of stuff people can say that's the "Top 3 Most Important," but here's how I see fit. 1. Godzilla's Mythology: Godzilla's story, the reason he was created, the reason he attacks man in the first place. If this is ignored, you're pretty much just making a giant lizard and not so much Godzilla. Forgetting Mythology is like forgetting why are we here in the first place? We were told of stories, stories that were shaped by mythology. So if you don't put in Godzilla's Mythology, you're basically not getting Godzilla at all. 2. Godzilla's Anatomy: I already see how people want his breath, his roar, even healing powers. And for most I agree, but I'm not entirely "nitpicky," on what I would prefer to have, I can't just say "I wanna see Godzilla's Atomic Breath but not his armor like skin." I'd be asking for one thing and in this case, no one wants a partial Godzilla. So basically I speak for just about every Godzilla fan that everything in his anatomy must have little change or no change at all. This goes for looks, vocals, powers, abilities, and strength. 3: Godzilla's Emotions: Technically, this probably would go for the first one I mentioned, his Mythology. But on the other hand, Godzilla was one angry lizard for a big majority of his films. In both the original film and in GMK: GMAOA, Godzilla was defined as an angry spirit awaken by man's recklessness. However in other movies, Godzilla seemed to show a sign of forgiveness (well not in the 90's "Vs. King Ghidorah"). In at the end of the Millennium film, Godzilla, despite his wrath in most of the film, he seems to bare some humans, even shows curiosity in the beginning of the film before mistaking flashes of light as a sign of attack. In the Showa era, Godzilla leaps from terror to hero after realizing that humans live on the same Earth as he does. In Final Wars, Godzilla listens to his son to no longer fight against man after the alien invasion. Though for the 2014 film, I expect him to be very angry, but compared to GMK don't make him look soulless. That's my Top 3 Characteristics.

If I may add something. In case some did not know, The newest Hunger Games trailer was released the same day and within the hour it was shown at SDCC 2013. So a trailer is released in the hands of the studio itself. we may not know why they decided not to release it the same day or within weeks of showing it at SDCC 13 but Legendary is right now post production the movie which does take time. Having said that, the studio does plan when would be a good set time to release a trailer to promote the movie. best bet usually they will show it in a big movie like Thor The Dark World or The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. for something like Godzilla, would you rather have them go big on this in promotion?

1) He must be an unstoppable force of nature. Conventional weaponry does not harm him, super G-Stopper weaponry can only hurt him for a time. 2) Atomic/Radioactive Breath. The blue kind. 3) A kaiju opponent. The only movie that didn't have one was the first, and that was a cautionary tale that stands separate from the rest. I want Godzilla to battle it out with other creatures or mecha. I was tempted to put in his roar, which I agree is iconic, but if they update it while staying true to the sound (that angry yet pained roar), I will be OK with that. I also was tempted to add something about the soundtrack... I know they can never recapture the spirit of Akira Ifukube's scores, but perhaps if they used a Japanese composer, and not some pop culture phenom, then at least the spirit of it would be right.

I must say, Godzilla was at his best in 2000.

He MUST be Politically Incorrect. Since I understand that he wipes out San Francisco, I'm sure that is the way he will be. Being from Oakland I would go see it for that part alone!

1. The iconic roar from the original and its direct sequel 1985 film. Not those crappy high pitched roars. 2. His indestructible trait along with the healing powers 3. The atomic breath either blue or red but have the sound and visual effects that were in the 2000 film. Those to me looked and sounded the best.
