I agree with what most are saying but I think there should be also a 4th, the music should be based on the work of Akira Ifukube. This has been lacking in the Godzilla movies for a while now.

He's always been huge, and still shown for most of the movie.

dude Godzilla will be shown in the movie alot of times Edward said it will be hard for him to show Godzilla because he,s going to be fucking huge so Edwards is going to try his best to show godzilla as possible as he can.

He has all three in the film, I can confirm it.

Yes and no because some concepts like the Jurassic con one looks like zilla 1998 but modified

1. Absolutely nothing like the 98 abortion 2. Absolutely as close to G 2000 (breath, movements, looks, roar,indestructible etc) 3. Absolutely nothing like the 98 abortion... Godzilla wrecks city's not lay eggs in em!

1. Blue Atomic Breath & Red Atomic Breath from Godzilla final wars. 2. Iconic Roar. 3. Needs to be unstoppable to man made weapons.

For me, my top 3 are: 1. Atomic Breath - regardless of "realism", Godzilla's atomic breath is one of Godzilla's trademark characteristics, and should not be overlooked or "explained" in a way that makes sense by today's standards. Godzilla can't be completely understood, so let certain things just "be". 2. Iconic Roar - specifically reminiscent of the 1954 original Godzilla roars - they were lower, more intimidating and made Godzilla "sound" bigger. None of this high-pitched noise we've heard in some of the sequels. 3. His indestructibility - You can't kill Godzilla. At best you can freeze him, but Tanks, Missiles, Jets are all ineffective against him - so I hope to God(zilla) that there's no repeat of 1998's Zilla take-down. Godzilla is meant to represent an indestructible force of nature, so make it so. I have great faith in Gareth Edwards, but I do have concerns that they will try to make Godzilla more "realistic" than mythological. I mean, how real can Godzilla be? I hope they stay true to the iconic characteristics which make Godzilla who he is, and not try to make him overly believable for an audience that doesn't appreciate it or understand it. That's my 2 cents.

So many, but hard to pick up just 3.... The person above listed the same things, so I'm just basically repeating. Indestructibility! Blue atomic/nuclear breath! His famous roar. Would also like to see.... up right stance, back plates (with multiple points on each plate, not just single spikes), his "tree bark" skin texture. Not that we as fans are fussy or anything... LOL

My top 3 are easy. 1. Iconic Roar (preferably similar to 1954 and 1985) 2. Blue Atomic Breath 3. Indestructibility

1. Atomic Breath 2. Indestructibility to ordinary man-made weaponry (missiles, bombs, etc.) 3. His famous roar to me those are the 3 most important, it's what makes Godzilla Godzilla aside from his size and look.

I think what this Godzilla needs more than any of those things right now is the support of WB ....or else this movie is gonna sink like a rock in the ocean...

Doubt it will be a movie tie in. If its gonna be a fighting game (which it should always be) then it would only be successful with the other Toho monsters like Gigantic and Ghidorah etc. Which wouldn't work with a movie tie in since they would all need a makeover. An awesome remake of the other games would work better.

I owe this movie a big thank you. I was around 5 or 6 when this movie came out and I loved it. When Godzilla 2000 came out afterwards I went to see it thinking it was a sequel. I ended up loving Godzilla 2000 a whole lot more since he actually kicked ass. So I researched Godzilla like no tomorrow and loved the whole idea, my cousin had VHS Godzilla tapes and I watched them all. Obviously as I grew older and more educated I hated the film due to its flaws and insult to the king. But this film will always hold a place in my heart. Truthfully it would've been a great monster movie if Godzilla wasn't the title. But then again if it wasn't named Godzilla I would've never become a G-fan so....yeah. Me and this movie have a complicated relationship.

From all the info, leaks, and rumors they got everything right. In terms of non-confirmed stuff I want: 1) His King of the Monsters title to hold up (he should kick a lot of monster ass and should be given powerful as hell enemies) 2) His healing factor/indestructability 3) His long, glowing spikes for his atomic breath. Also I know Gareth wants realism but his atomic breath should at least be just as deadly.

The idea o Godzilla taking on the Kaiju or Jaeger's but lets be realistic none of them would survive or even challenge Godzilla. The reason is because their not built to withstand Godzilla. Now I think something that would be cool is if after the next Godzilla movie they showed the tear open in the sea and we see Godzilla swim into the tear and comes out in the world of pacific rim. where after ripping through all the jaegers they make mechagodzilla.

This is a very tough question. From what we've seen from the leak, it looks similar to regular Godzilla. Let me see. The Dark, scaly texture. Long plates that, when using the atomic breath, are turned red. Slow, lumberyness. Slow moving legs, and a slight rise in his step as he walks.

at least maybe in a "GODZILLA" movie, we will get a better look at the monsters(Kiaju)

Godzilla vs all Kaiju is more like it. And G can take them on under the sea and Land. The big G machine just jeeps on regenerating too so all these Kaiju would not last long unless it was a group effort. Even then Godzilla would figure them out and blast or tear em apart. Would make a great battle.

GODZILLASYLUM The reason it took so long to take out Trespasser was because it attacked before the Jaeger program was started, so they had to use standard tanks and jets, not the really cool chest missiles, plasma canons, and other things that Jaegers had. Chris That is true, I think Knifehead could give Godzilla a hard time, but maybe not as much as some of the other Kiaju. Knifehead was thought to be dead, and then attacked from behind, which is why it tore Gipsy apart so fast. From the front if they were expecting it, it may not have been much of an issue. Maybe in water it could be more difficult for Godzilla, but maybe not.

I'll wait for the final design first before commenting.

this just keeps getting better. however... it needs more authenticity before i will believe that its official. i've been duped before. but over all.. nice find.

I think it would be great...just to add to his "force of nature" element...it would work just like a nuclear blast itself,....leveling say about 20 square blocks or something....a weapon that takes an already weary army by surprise...let alone atomic breath...

Hmmmm...interesting shot....although, I notice the bridge damage in the background...I hope that was caused by a hand swipe or something because if he walked through there,...that would seem like a very thin Godzilla ....just an observation...don't know if that is an actual scene from the movie.

Does nobody think Knifehead could give Godzilla a hard time? I mean, he tore Gipsy Danger apart pretty quickly. If both Godzilla and Knifehead were in water, do you think Knifehead would stand a better chance?
