ChrisGodzilla ForumOrga vs. Biollante - Who Would Win?Mar 29, 2013
I call heads - for Biollante. I think her tentacles would give Orga a tough time. Orga is strong, yes and does have that projectile beam from his shoulder, but I think Biollante might be able to hold him down long enough to deliver a finishing blow. It is a tough call, t'is why I made this debate, haha. Both monsters are so similar.
ReplyMrAnvilGodzilla ForumOrga vs. Biollante - Who Would Win?Mar 29, 2013
This is tough call, one is very alien and the other is very predatory, both are so unpredictable. I don't know. They both look so cool too. Call it in the air guys. ( flips coin)

Orga would Win..unless biollante used its tentacles to tie orga uo and kill him that way ..but orga i think would be too smart for her..

I like Biollante, but I think Orga would win that fight.
ReplyInfernoWingGodzilla ForumOrga vs. Biollante - Who Would Win?Mar 29, 2013
i like biollante but i think this battle will be dominated by orga, the only strenght of biollante it's his "inmortality".
ReplyJhonny2LiverGodzilla ForumOrga vs. Biollante - Who Would Win?Mar 29, 2013
Orga. He has a breath weapon, more maneuverable, and is far stronger. Biollante could only briefly inconvenience him with his vines.
ReplyBrittkampGodzilla 2014 ForumAkira Takarada and director Gareth Edwards on the Godzilla 2014 Set!Mar 28, 2013
I would love for Mr. Takarada to make a cameo showing him seeing Godzilla and shaking his head and saying, "not him again! everytime I try and relax he comes back to ruin it!!"
Great picture though! Kenji Sahara involved??
ReplyRay BurrberryGodzilla ForumOrga vs. Biollante - Who Would Win?Mar 28, 2013
I think Orga would win. He has more maneuverability and would have Biollante as a snack salad.

Biollante (Adult form) all the way

Not sure when the trailer will debut. Filming has only been going on for a week and a bit now. It's possible we could see one this summer. Maybe a teaser here and there before then, but no full length trailers I would imagine.

Akira should be the leader of the japanese military.. who assists the american military in fending off the other kaiju in this movie.. if there are any.. and he should be the hero/commander who defeats at least one of them. then again he could play a nuclear scientist.. or a palientologist. A leading role for sure. there ought to be a lot of nods towards the original.

I have a bad feeling about this movie...
ReplyManonPutneyHillGodzilla 2014 ForumStills from Godzilla set of Helicopter crash in Nanaimo BCMar 27, 2013
I dont think the big G actually appears in this scene. This is either a smaller Kaiju invading the area, or a terrorist going after the missle. Both of these would explain the rather small response group.
Replywhocares0Godzilla 2014 ForumAkira Takarada and director Gareth Edwards on the Godzilla 2014 Set!Mar 27, 2013
I think he should die at the hands of Godzilla. Can't think of a better way to go.
Replykaiju-seekerGodzilla 2014 ForumAaron Johnson plays a Soldier on Godzilla 2014Mar 27, 2013
I watched Nowhere boy.. and Aaron plays the role of young John Lennon perfectly. I believe he will pull emotion out of a soldier role easily. I noticed one thing about the actors being selected for Godzilla... they excell at playing dramatic roles that require good emotional expression . mind you.. this is from my observation of them. I really feel that this movie is gonna capture the reaction of a people underneath the shadow of the the king of monsters.. so to speak.
Replykaiju-seekerGodzilla 2014 ForumAkira Takarada and director Gareth Edwards on the Godzilla 2014 Set!Mar 27, 2013
and one more thing.. Gareth looks like a little school boy standing next to Akira. He must be stoked standing next to a Godzilla movie veteran. I know I would be.

Well if this movie is going to really be made i don't think they should use suits... The suits where good for the 50's and 60's but now we have all this better technology and it would have a better chance at success if they use computer graphic images. As for the monster i have an idea for a four armed behemoth, that can shoot fireballs and is twice Godzilla's size. Godzilla is going to win though.

I like the original the best. I watched Godzilla when I was four years old and Gigan was in it. Original definitely!
Replywhocares0Godzilla 2014 ForumYour hopes for Godzilla 2014Mar 27, 2013
If it's going to be succesful, which it is, it needs to forshadow some possible enemy monsters( or allies) for sequals. Sure i'm excited for fresh blood, but i WAAAAAAANNNNT a new Mechagodzilla and a blast from the past enemy like Megalon and Mothra!
Replywhocares0Godzilla Video Games ForumGodzilla 2014 Video Game Tie-In?Mar 27, 2013
I think they should treat the next Godzilla game (or kaiju..whatever) like a DBZ game. Huuge roster, classic campaign, story mode campaign from the movies, finishing moves, legit tag team, and skin packs for kicks. And invite 3rd parties like Gamera and Zilla from 1998 or King Kong.

Some thoughts I've had for a while.
I could see the centipede as a "warm up" for Godzilla. Think Baragon in GMK.
Judging from one of the set photos of the Japanese airport having an earthquake reported on a television screen, one of the monsters may be a burrower.
Chris Mirjahangir, the guy who first revealed that LP was in talks with Toho about doing a Godzilla reboot, made a joking statement somewhere on Toho Kingdom that the second enemy monster may be a salamander. Just something to take with a grain of salt.
ReplyEquinoqsGodzilla ForumYour Favorite Classic Godzilla MovieMar 24, 2013
The original Godzilla" (with or without Raymond Burr, doesn't matter) is still the best for me, but "Destroy All Monsters" has always been near the top, and "Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster" has always been a particular favorite for all the psychedelic "70's" elements (which I've always loved). Of the newer films, "Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla" has everything you could ever want in a Godzilla film, without any of the more questionable things (like singing fairies).
ReplyEquinoqsGodzilla ForumWhat Made You a Godzilla Fan?Mar 24, 2013
Mine was actually NOT a Godzilla film. My dad (who died when I was 6) was into home movies in the 70's, and he bought my younger brother and I each a 2-1/2 minute super-8mm movie as presents - my brother got a Popeye cartoon, and I got a silent black-&-white version of "Rodan" (which I still have). I was confused later in life when I played that film reel and didn't hear anything, until I remembered that my dad provided the dialogue and sound effects. Seeing a giant flying dinosaur smahing down through the roof of a building in almost-slow-motion scarred my brain for life, in the best way possible. I may have seen Godzilla before that (my dad was a fan of sci-fi & horror), but "Rodan" is what I believe got me started on loving the giant monster movies on Chiller Theater late at night. Sorry this was so long, I kinda got caught up.
ReplyGojiramatthewGodzilla ForumKing Kong vs Godzilla: remembering a unreal classic endingMar 24, 2013
While I don't think the ending of Kong Kong vs Godzilla (1962) is the worst ending to a Godzilla movie, it is still a very anti-climatic ending IMO.

Godzilla: Save The Earth since it is the Godzilla game I played the most and because I made two comedy Machinima series using it.

Godzilla vs Biollante (1989) because of the excellent special effects (The Godzilla suit, Biollante's two forms, the animation effects for Godzilla's atomic ray, the Animatronic Godzilla head that actually looks like the G-suits head and the miniatures), the musical score done by Koichi Sugiyama (As well as the first Heisei movie to have Akira Ifukube's music return), the human characters (While the acting from the English speaking actors needs work, the Japanese actors/actresses did their job well especially Megumi Odaka IMO) and the unique plot.
There are a few more things but..... I think I have wrote enough.

I loved this installment. The plot was better than usual, great soundtrack, lots of monsters, good comedy, great themes, and then there's Godzilla marching around the world kicking ass.
The alien leader's fits of rage when Godzilla was defeating his monsters were just hysterical.
5/5. A refreshing installment in the series.
