they should make a game i don't on the movie but some kind of game that will make save the earth and Unleashed look weak and add all monster that Godzilla has face over the years and maby make a godzilla character a DLC and it could be the 2014 godzilla with the monsters that he will probably face in the new movie.
ReplyGojira57Godzilla 2014 ForumNew Monsters in Godzilla 2014Mar 22, 2013
I would love to see the story behind the new monsters. Plus, maybe they can make another movie where they add Gryphon, an unmade monster that was supposed to appear, or maybe even add some old favorites like King Ghidorah and Mothra, perhaps even Biollante, who has yet to make a second major appearence in a movie.
Edit: Yes, i am a biollante and mothra fan, they are the best monsters that godzilla ever faced in my opinion

This is definitely not a flashback scene. Honestly I have no idea where you got that idea from. The US Marine Corps still operate Huey Helicopters today. In fact they ordered 70 brand new ones with Bell Helicopter in 2010. They 've only received 31 of the 70 they ordered to date so far. Incidentally the US Marine Corps Hueys that are in service today are painted a dull grey colour. Just like the burned film prop used on set.
ReplyGodzilla85Godzilla 2014 ForumFlashback Scene in Godzilla 2014 Filmed Today?Mar 21, 2013
Ok I just talked to my brother and he said yes some branches of the military still uses Hueys, the helicopter seen above, and that they may be using Hueys in this film since the Blackhawk has top secret electronic components inside it and that the U.S. military is kind of picky as to who can use them in their movies.

Well first of all I want this Godzilla to be a serious force of destruction like in the first movie and GMK and second I want the trademark blue atomic breath! It's not Godzilla unless he's nuking stuff with his breath! LOL
Another hope of mine is that after seeing this movie, more people will give Godzilla and all the people who worked or starred in his movies in the past the respect they deserve. Not this,"Oh Godzilla's a corny man in a suit crushing cardboard buildings",crap!

it's a good crew, but i really hope that they can get Akira Takarada, who was in the first Godzilla movie,to make at least a cameo appearance in the movie.
I really like that they got Ken Watanabe for the film.I loved him in The Last Samurai and Letters From Iwo Jima and I look forward to seeing him in Godzilla.
ReplyGodzilla85Godzilla 2014 ForumGodzilla 2014 In Production! Are you getting excited?Mar 21, 2013
I am feeling really excited and hopeful. It seems like Legendary pictures and Gareth Edwards are going to great lengths to make sure this is the American Godzilla movie that we have been waiting for since 1998.
ReplyGodzilla85Godzilla 2014 ForumFlashback Scene in Godzilla 2014 Filmed Today?Mar 21, 2013
Maybe, maybe not.I know that the military is mostly using Blackhawk helicopters in their arsenal, but it dosen't necessarially mean that they aren't using Hueys anymore.Hard to say.

Hello, first-time poster, long-time Godzilla-watcher. I'm keeping my hysteria for Godzilla smoldering away under my skin right now, but wanted to prepare for some serious geeking-out once the film gets underway by finding other geeking-out fans.
I hope to see a darker-toned Godzilla film with an emphasis on the relentless 'force of nature' aspects of the monster. It (not he or she, no eggs, no son, no clone) attacks humanity simply because we're in its way, and though humans come up with ideas to stop it, nothing works (no Super-X, no mecha, no laser trucks). The confrontation with another force of nature (no aliens, no ancient gods, no genetic experiments) is a case of Godzilla being the Lesser Evil, and it happens downtown.
Of course, if it's completely different from this, I'll still be seeing it Day One.
ReplyEmoMetal99Godzilla 2014 ForumOfficial Godzilla 2014 Plot SynopsisMar 20, 2013
The move should have a simple plot.
After the bombs had been tested, Godzilla awakes from slumber and rises up. Destroying cities and killing people. Soon the military from Japan and The United States has been attacking the monster with all of their forces and power. Nothing seems to be working. Godzilla leaves and heads back into the ocean where the monster has to fight of the the U.S navy. He quickly destroys them and heads off into the depths of the ocean. A week later, other monsters attack whatever city. And destroy almost most of it. As the monsters make so much disaster, Godzilla hears the disturbances and encounters the other giant monsters, Godzilla quickly realizes these other monsters are threats. And Godzilla goes an all out battle with the 2 monsters, and humanity in the way..

Hands down the original from 54. japanese version without all the raymond burr scenes...very dark and sinister, from what i understand that is what they are trying for in G 14..but i love all the films except for the 98 debacle.

I feel that timing and the way those great Toho movies were made is what made me such a fan. I was lucky to grow up outside NYC in the 70's where every local station seemed to be competing against each other to see who can show more giant monster movies. Every week my friends and [] would scour the TV guide in our local paper to see which films would be on this week. We would all meet at my house, since my Mother was the only Mom who not only wouldn't giggle at us but actually watch with us! So, I believe very happy memories is a reason I am still such a fan. The second was the grandness of the movies themselves. Big color spectaculars done so well by Honda with amazing monsters and outlandish plots and truly spectacular soundtracks by Ifukube! They were movies that I just fell in love with!

My Favorite has to be Godzilla vs King Kong. Most likely cause I believe the ending could be interrupted many ways. I believe Godzilla just let Kong go because he felt sorry for the dumb ape. No way Kong could defeat the true King of the Monsters.

You had a very good try. I've always been looking for a good rock/metal mix of G's theme. The second one had something going for it, but I think deeper, lower tones in the music accompanied by the angelic voice would have made it better. Keep up the good work.

Great question - but I don't know that I can answer. I have always been a big fan of dinosaurs, of monsters, of cryptids. Why? That is tougher! I do recall getting a license plate for my tricycle (seriously) , in the early 1960s, that had Godzilla on it, long before I ever saw a Godzilla movie. It (obviously) made a big impression on me! I would say two other big contributors were the local theater which showed "kids movies" every weekend -- remember, this is pre VCRs, pre DVDs, pre-cable TV, so we didn't care that these were second and third run movies, they were a big deal to us, and the theater showed a lot of "giant monster" fare. AND a local UHF station hereabouts ran pretty much all of the Godzilla movies, one a week, on either Friday or Saturday nights. They even ran ads for them in the local papers! Watching that run, pretty much "unspoiled" cemented it for me. But again, as to the :WHY" ... have to give that some thought!

i hope this movie turns out being really good. The last Godzilla with Matthew Broderick was kind of corny but i still liked it. I hope this one shows more of the actual creature, it will tide me over until the next Jurassic Park comes out!!!!!
ReplyTaco LaukoGodzilla 2014 ForumOfficial Godzilla 2014 Plot SynopsisMar 12, 2013
i feel as if this movie needs to go back to its old roots, back to 1954. when we all witnessed the metaphor of destruction, the weapon of god, the reaper himself, terrorize helpless people. it needs to show a lot of the monster action but at the same time show how this affected the people and how helpless they become. that will really revive the series. but not only show the destruction of cities but show how a monster of such proportions can be a neutrally good factor. or maybe how godzilla is just trying to defend himself. like in GvD. he did everything to protect himself and his son. pretty much me need the metaphor of destruction, sympathy for the people, (no love story or struggle between different individuals) and a difficulty for godzilla himself that brings him to the brink of death. one that actually shows a lesson that we could all learn from. as a long time godzilla nerd ive learned a lot from godzilla. i think others should have the experience of learning from such a visual

Agreed, I'm very much against overbearing human love stories in a Godzilla flick. However, human back story is crucial, especially to a reboot of the classic Godzilla, there needs to be that happy balance between Monster rampages and military incompetence. Makes for an enjoyable experience.

I will be satisfied as long as that it doesn't screw up like the 1998 American Godzilla movie (which should be renamed 'Zilla')
I hope that the new movie doesn't take too long to set the story up and that the humans have 75% screen time.
Those are my hopes for the new movie.

I will have to say Godzilla: Save the Earth! as it had the best multi-player ever on the Playstation 2. Although I do have some love for Godzilla: Generations for the Dreamcast as it was the first Godzilla game I ever owned.
