it's a good crew,but i really hope that they can get Akira Takarada,who was in the first Godzilla movie,to make at least a cameo appearance in the movie. I really like that they got Ken Watanabe for the film.I loved him in The Last Samurai and Letters From Iwo Jima and I look forward to seeing him in Godzilla.

I agree, they should give Akira at least a cameo role. Which I think they will, given the promotional image they posted on Facebook, which you can see below. The cast is worthy. Please make this movie much better than previous ones. The original G movies where campy and corny but perfect for the Saturday matinee and for the year it was made. Appropriate. Please make this movie worthy of the actors efforts and worthy of our time and attention. My wife made me watch Godzilla 1998 for the purpose of supporting my Sci-fi interest. I couldn't sit through it because it was so off target on all levels. It was like Sex and The City got together and made a science fiction movie because it would be fun and easy. Making the impossible seem possible and believable. Suspension of disbelief. I do Love the cast and I do not blame them for taking a paycheck. ; )

I know this is wikipedia and everything but I saw this on the Official Godzilla (2014) wiki page: It says that Aaron-Taylor Johnson will be playing a character named Ford Brady. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla_(2014_film)

First - I love Godzilla's new face best ever ! second - Things I don't like - Godzilla's spikes - to small not enough of them but with this clip it's hard to tell , His body is give and take . I like the 2000's fat godzilla but he can't fight to well . The older skinny long neck godzilla didn't look so well but he fought alot better . Third - things that scare me - 1st All this cover up reminds me of CLOVERFIELD blah ! next - Bryan Cranston HATE this guy ! Yes I hate breaking bad as well !!! ,The inter view I seen with him on Godzilla he was putting the movie down bad real bad the last time I seen an actor do that to a movie he stared in was Marky Mark when he played in MAX PAYNE ! I love ZILLA but Cloverfield meats Bryan Cranston scars me and is Crushing my hopes on this movie :(

Actually, Bryon Cranston is a fan of Kaiju films... he is a great actor and I'd love to sre him play a renewed version of the reporter Steve Martin from the original.

When was Cranston putting down the movie? All the interview videos and articles I've read he's been very enthusiastic about it. He even said he joined the movie because of how good the script was. He's sarcastic a lot and enjoys having fun, so maybe he said something as a joke. But he hasn't spoken poorly about the movie once. I'd have to see what article he was referring to for proof, otherwise.

Dude godzilla is going to be in CGI, its been confirmed a long time ago.

A few days ago i saw Ken Watanabe listed as playing Dr. Serizawa on IMDB, but it has been changed since then.

I'm not saying im 100 pecent rright but IMDB says Ken Watanabe[u] IS[/u] Dr. Serizawa.

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but that was just a part of false info on IMDB's part which has already been taken down. Dr Serizawa has not been confirmed as a character in the film and hopefully never will be.

Well I can see why you say that....maybe not Serizawa...but people at comic con said that he was in the trailer. I wouldn't say I wouldn't want him to have a part in the movie because I like him as a actor, but everyone has their opinion.

Correction, fans said Ken Watanabi was in the trailer. No one ever said if he was Serizawa or not. Don't get me wrong, I think the presence of Ken Watanabi is a good nod to the big G's original japanese origin given that he's actually Japanese. But anything resembling the 54 film should be referenced at best, like a homage or something.
