How could you not be a fan of Godzilla? The Godzilla movies where some of the first and best movies I've ever watched, followed by jurassic park. The fact that my grandpa loves Godzilla to really helps.

The only good thing I have to say in that Godzilla is that he kinda looked like a dinosaur.

Slow. Godzilla is Godzilla, he never moved fast (except for the last one where he looked like a dinosaur).

Honestly if this movie had a different name it would be a really good movie but...since its name was godzilla we were expecting the original godzilla not some completely different creature so really it was but wasn't bad

Personally I think it would be interesting to have a new monster. One idea I just thought of: What do you guys think of the idea of a cyborg that was created by both humans and aliens. Question is where would they get organic parts for it? Also I think it would be awesome to have an ancient, non dinosaur, monster (example: Leviathan, Fenrir, Behemoth, etc.) Something from known mythology.

Godzilla is the beyond needing speed for anything...he is a mountain that topples sky scrapers without even noticing....his natural powers makes speed obsolete....sure it would look cool while in a battle with another monster I guess but,...over all,..doesn't need it....Hurricanes and tornadoes can have a forward speed of like 5 miles an hour so,...this force of nature doesn't need it either.

Yea, and plus gareth is talkin about a sequel, so that should officialy quel your thoughts as to if godzilla is stopeed or killed

I think slowness adds a more menacing affect, and prefer the Godzilla of the 80's/90's over the rest.

Mine would be Godzilla vs The Jaeger program. A new, threatening, and strong kaiju (godzilla) attacks tokyo and fights off other kaijus, except since this kaiju is still considered a threat, the jaeger program has to do something about it.

Agreed, as in the 80s films, they can only defeat him by trying to slow him down like in Biollante with the ANEB. It made him very ill and that worked only when he heated up. Other than that he was free to come and go as he liked. you just have to deal with him like a storm, get to shelter and pray you're not in the way.

You guys forget one thing. The past films wer men in suits. with CGI as it is now, they can use the original look and make it more like a real lifeform and less like a costume. for example, Godzilla's bulk is muscles, not fat. Imagine how that would look say using the 80s or 90s designs. You'd see the way the body really would move, with every muscle and tendon working like a real living creature would. The comic books go this route nicely.

I found this out at G-fest. Toho asks for more money if an outside company wishes to use their kaiju, even Godzilla. Godzilla being the most popular they will be ok with lending him over, but the other kaiju no. You best be a billionaire before asking for the others like Gigan or Ghidora. Besides, I like the idea of using brand new monsters not seen before. It has potential for new ideas in the abilities they have over Godzilla or ways they can attack him or humans.

Honestly, I personally quite enjoyed Godzilla's speed in Final Wars. The biggest thing would be for them to maintain a balance between speed and power without sacrificing one for the other. Keep in mind he is a rather large being of immense power but even with his huge size that doesn't necessarily mean he has to creep across the globe as he destroys cities or goes to battle creatures. Ultimately it comes down to design. A bulkier form would not be able to move as fast due to the body mass, but a more lithe monster could move much faster due to not being weighed down by its bulk. I wouldn't mind seeing a bulky creature but not so bulky that he loses grace in his movements.

You can"t kill a force of nature.....you get out of the way, pray for everyone , and hope he moves on....plain and simple.

I would prefer the blue fire due to the fact that Godzilla is a walking nuclear power station. The amount of fission going on inside of Godzilla's body yields enough energy to produce his blue, atomic breath. Besides, blue is a much hotter form of fire. What I'm trying to say is that it would make more sense, scientifically, to have a blue beam of fire rather than a red or orange one.

I love all of the godzilla scores hopefully they will make the score like in Godzilla 1985 that was my fav score. But yes I do agree that Hans Zimmer would be great.

What makes this main antagonist so obvious to you? Only one of Godzilla's opponents has been revealed, and it was an insect-like alien creature that was much smaller than Godzilla, so we can rule that thing out as the main antagonist. But I must acknowledge that King Ghidorah DEFINITELY won't be Godzilla's main foe in this film. Both of Godzilla's opponents will be original, not appearing in any previous Toho films whatsoever.

Actually '98 Godzilla's first trailer was released just around one year before release. If I remember correctly it was before actual filming began. The euphoria and anticipation was quite big but the movie being a bust got out pretty quickly.

I liked his flame in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah; where it was blue but had some red in it. Almost like red flame being focused into blue.
