AdminSpaceGodzillaJul-29-2013 3:27 PMGuillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim movie spawned a new set of Kaiju to the genre. As many people have debated so far already on the possibility of a Godzilla - Pacific Rim movie crossover (which is not likely to ever happen), another fun topic to debate on is the "versus" topics between Jaegers, Kaiju and the most popular Kaiju of them all - Godzilla.
So today, I'm curious to see what Kaiju from Pacific Rim fans think would last the longest in a fight against Godzilla. Or, which one would be the most entertaining to see fight Godzilla in a movie setting!

Predator: Badlands - coming November 7th, 2025
SPOILER ALERT:Its hard to say because Godzilla would obliterate every one of them with his atomic breath. but in my opinion maybe otachi or slattern. Otachi uses his acid ability well in the movie and is seen to do a lot of damage to the jaegers and possibly will do to Godzilla and he can fly so that will buy him some time. And slattern is pretty much the strongest kaiju witch I think will give Godzilla a decent challenge
Yeah, Slattern did take a nuke to the face and kept going. And the acid spitting from Otachi would definitely cause an issue for Big G. Not sure which one would be the most challenging enemy though.

I haven't watched Pacific Rim yet, but I'm pretty sure Godzilla could beat any Kaju without much dificulty.
Hi
Otachi or Slatturn without a doubt. Leatherback might put up a fight though. Leatherback put p one heck of a fight for Gipsy Danger. As far as I'm concerned, it would take at least 2 category 4's to beat Godzilla. Maybe I'm just saying this because I've only seen part of the 1995(ish) Godzilla movie, and heard about parts of different Godzilla movies.

Isn't Godzilla a Kaiju by definition? If it is, I would list him as at least a category 7, or at least the biggest one available.

I think you are thinking about the 1998 Godzilla. The WORST GODZILLA IN HISTORY!!!!! It stared Godzilla and he remened me of a theropod dinosaur. He took four missiles and died. Real Godzilla could take on an entire army and wipe them out.
Hi
MrHappy, he is technically a Kaju, but didn't come from the same place. And these guys here are new. Not an old Kaju, or monster, as they are called in Godzilla.
Hi
I know. That's just if you had to give him a category. That one reminded me of a dinosaur too.

Personally I dont think Godzilla would even be in a category, he would be his OWN category because he is practically indestructable. The one Kaiju from PR that I think would last against Godzilla for a good fight would have to be Trespasser, they hardly talk about him but he's the first Kaiju to attack. It took 6 days AND 3 nuclear bombs just to kill him. Trespasser is a monster, literally, and I think he would be a good opponent for Godzilla.
Otachi's the only one with the abilities best suited to survive for the longest against Godzilla so him.
Does it really matter if this Kaju is suited for lasting the longest against Godzilla? He will destroy anything he wants in five seconds flat. If one Kaju lasts longer than the other, it would be by milliseconds. And I guess I would agree. Godzilla has his own class. It is called " Destruction God". I wonder what that is in Japanease?
Hi
Does nobody think Knifehead could give Godzilla a hard time? I mean, he tore Gipsy Danger apart pretty quickly. If both Godzilla and Knifehead were in water, do you think Knifehead would stand a better chance?

GODZILLASYLUM
The reason it took so long to take out Trespasser was because it attacked before the Jaeger program was started, so they had to use standard tanks and jets, not the really cool chest missiles, plasma canons, and other things that Jaegers had.
Chris
That is true, I think Knifehead could give Godzilla a hard time, but maybe not as much as some of the other Kiaju. Knifehead was thought to be dead, and then attacked from behind, which is why it tore Gipsy apart so fast. From the front if they were expecting it, it may not have been much of an issue. Maybe in water it could be more difficult for Godzilla, but maybe not.

Godzilla vs all Kaiju is more like it. And G can take them on under the sea and Land. The big G machine just jeeps on regenerating too so all these Kaiju would not last long unless it was a group effort. Even then Godzilla would figure them out and blast or tear em apart. Would make a great battle.
The idea o Godzilla taking on the Kaiju or Jaeger's but lets be realistic none of them would survive or even challenge Godzilla. The reason is because their not built to withstand Godzilla. Now I think something that would be cool is if after the next Godzilla movie they showed the tear open in the sea and we see Godzilla swim into the tear and comes out in the world of pacific rim. where after ripping through all the jaegers they make mechagodzilla.
Maybe the 1 Category 5 could take on Godzilla, and the 2 category 4's like somebody said it would be a challenge
Holy crap, Godzilla fanboys, Godzilla fanboys everywhere o_0 and so many misspellings of the word Kaiju (like seriously how do you people even call yourselves fans of the genre)
By the way, whoever said that Godzilla is a Category 7 Kaiju is a special breed of stupid. Isn't he only a few hundred feet tall? I mean for Christ sake, Slattern was 596ft and she was only a Category 5 -____-
@KivalCatraz
Interesting flame bait, but since this is a Godzilla forum, yes you're going to find Godzilla fanboys. I know it's a stretch.
And the biggest Godzilla has ever been is 100 meters, or about 330 feet. But considering he's beaten creatures that are 150 meters tall lets not assume a bigger monster equates greater power.

Ok first things first godzilla 2014 is 150 METERS tall
Secondly he would wipe out any kiju like nothing.
This is Godzilla 2014's height: 120-150 meters
The 120 is the smallest which means he is only going to grow bigger as the evolution goes on
Ok forget that he is bigger than 175 meters and more powerful so the other laity would say ohhh s@*+
movie was the best godzilla movie ever and none of the kaijuu would last more than 10 seconds against the 2014 godzilla
