I like to think I'm a Gigan connoisseeur, but even I would be careful with bringing in a kaiju as bizarre as our cybernetic space chicken. I'd absolutely LOVE to see him brought back, but Gigan always seemed like a pretty iconic monster in the showa era, having just the right amount of cheesy appearance with his sleekness compared to the other monsters. He had a nice balance. The artist's new take on Gigan is downright gorgeous artwork, but it's lost a lot of Gigan's charm in my opinion. Similar to how the '98 Zilla sucked out Godzilla's charm. In the bottom set of pictures, the Gigan on the far left seems to retain most of his original look, but the posture of the Gigan on the far right feels like it adds that bit of humanistic attitude he had, rather than just being hunched over and animalistic acting on primitive instincts. If the design of the left Gigan was used with the right Gigan's posture I feel like it could work, as long as it retained a bit of his humanistic goofy charm. We never saw any other monster high five King Ghidorah and dance off-screen. The special spark Gigan had was that he seemed so dorky and human, making him memorable. I think if Edwards is aiming to really renew the series and continue on with it, it should reintroduce itself first rather than throwing all these re-imagined kaiju at us. Build up to it! If this new life of the series correctly builds upon itself, all the waiting will pay off in the end. But in all honesty no matter what happens, I'd explode from happiness if I ever saw my chicken baby appear in a new movie haha :,D Also hi guys! I agree with Daleks... It was a remake of Beast from 20,000 Fathoms. If it had been called that I would not f***ing hate that movie like I do.

Yeah, Slattern did take a nuke to the face and kept going. And the acid spitting from Otachi would definitely cause an issue for Big G. Not sure which one would be the most challenging enemy though.

i can't help but notice how a lot of these ideas are the same not a complaint mind you just noticing. I'd like to see another in the vein of SAVE THE EARTH and UNLEASHED. one on one monster mash ups tag teams and free for all's with a gigantic cast of kaiju heck i don't care if you make some up. a story mode that tells of why the kaiju a re moving around like they are some sort of final boss and minigames. then you could have a Scenario mode where you play out all the battles of a given movie. a kaiju defense mode sounds awesome.

i would love to see gigan come back, but not looking like this guys artistic rendering, this is as much gigan as godzilla 98 was godzilla. but dont get me wrong this is a nice pic. i say first movie and unknown monster is fine, second movie mecha godzilla then third movie the most dangerous monster godzilla has faced and thats his old rival ghidora, the original version not that 4 legged nightmare crap from mothra....

orga or moguera are my best characters. orga's tough but a bit slow but he makes up for it in damage out put. moguera has the best ranged weapon in the game and can run circles around most of the kaiju but having to stopp and recharge his weapons keeps moguera form being utterly broken.

well to be honest i only ever found 1998 Godzilla to be ... underwhelming it wasn't bad just not as good as i hoped. i9 liked the cartoon that the movie spawned though.

SPOILER ALERT:Its hard to say because Godzilla would obliterate every one of them with his atomic breath. but in my opinion maybe otachi or slattern. Otachi uses his acid ability well in the movie and is seen to do a lot of damage to the jaegers and possibly will do to Godzilla and he can fly so that will buy him some time. And slattern is pretty much the strongest kaiju witch I think will give Godzilla a decent challenge

Honestly, I'd like to see some reference to Zilla in the film, also some sort of military-machine like Kiryu and MOGEURA

When I was 3 years old I used to watch Jurassic Park almost every day on cable television. I loved dinosaurs as a child. Then one day, I stumbled upon Godzilla vs King Ghidorah on cable (Yes, Godzilla used to be on cable in the good ol' days.) . Since I was fond of dinosaurs, I automatically fell in love with the Godzilla franchise. And that's basically how I became a Godzilla fan.

If Legendary can squeeze in another monster, I'd like to see Gigan, Megalon, or maybe even Ghidorah make a reappearance

I wonder if people know that they couldn't get Zilla in the 1998 movie to look like or act like Godzilla because Tristar would have to buy the rights for the look, atomic breath, and other monsters from Toho.

It was an interesting game idea. It is sad they never used Bagan outside of the game though. He is a cool Kaiju idea.

Destroyah. He is still as broken in Unleashed as he was in Save the Earth and Destroy All Monsters Melee. I thought they would have toned him down by now. However, they didn't.

Personally I LOVED the way the Kaiju's moved in Pacific Rim, they moved how something that big would actually move, so I think Godzilla should move like the Kaiju from Pacific Rim BUT maybe a little bit faster since he is the king, but not that much faster or else it wouldn't look that great.
