That is correct kaijujira...but if it sucks I can use my Jurassic park reference which isn't even a good thing it would just lighten the situation to me
Maybe he will appear on the shoreline...or IN RISING FROM THE SAND LIKE IN GODZILLA VS MOTHRA!!! JK......still I mean he won't just appear so maybe...probably something like the original (which I'm watching)
Even if it doesnt do good, well atleast its Godzilla.
But I have hope that will do well ;)
Hey AVGN. Love your channel!! Hope you enjoy the upcoming movie. I know I will!
My guess Is that Godzilla,s Apperence will be total diffenet from the other movies
I hope it's reminiscent of the original movie. Although I'm sure there will be many homages to the first film.
My speculation is that reports of a "black iceberg" (or something like that) has been terrorizing fishing boats and such. Slowly, we will see some more of Goji's appearance. Then, when the Mutos arise, Godzilla's full design will be revealed (most likely from the ocean).
They definitely sized Godzilla down for the encounter. In the trailer, he was much larger.
I literally watched Pacific Rim this morning and no Godzilla roars anywhere to be found. I also couldnt help but think how bad Big G would destroy any of the Jeagurs and or Kuiju. Wouldnt even be a fair fight.
^^^ What he said...
This movie will unquestionably be THE best Godzilla movie, without a doubt, considering the approach that's being used. Not since the original film has anyone ever treated the subject seriously, much less the dark, gritty apocalyptic take that's been done in this one. On top of that, this one will have more human drama and depth to the plot...
Think of what The Walking Dead did for the zombie genre, in terms of wider appeal; I think this movie will do that for the character of Godzilla.
Wow, I hadn't thought of checking the "Godzilla Encounter" footage for a height check (as I was unable to personally go to the Godzilla Encounter).
After posting that 779' height I too noticed that I overestimated and agree that it's wrong. You can go here to see where I tried to make up for this http://www.godzilla-movies.com/community/forums/topic/29595
That said, I applaude your efforts to get a new size theory for the American Godzilla. Recently, I've been pondering on Godzilla's size based on the Japanese Toho Gojira sizes.
In the movies, Gojira was at best 328' tall (100 meters). However, back in 1977 Marvel teamed up with Toho to have Gojira battle against Marvel's heroes. This Marvel Gojira was estimated to be 492' (150 meters).
It has been my opinion that only the movies were considered official storyline to Gojira, so I'm not sure if they will even consider the Marvel Gojira when making the American Godzilla.
I'd pick 447' for our Godzilla to be noticably taller that the Japanese Gojira. If Legendary Pictures did take the Marvel Gojira into account, then our Godzilla could easily be in the 500'+ range.
Now the Godzilla Encounter design wasn't the final version, but close to it. I'd expect its size would also be "not finalized".
Maybe Godzilla might rise from a volcano from Godzilla vs Biollante
also g encounter was not the official design although it was very similar
marvel godzilla=150 meters(2 feet shy of 500 feet)
g2014= biggest godzilla so far
therefore g2014 must be larger than 150 meters tall(above 500 feet)
Most of the "rolling eyes" reactions I've seen have to do with every Godzilla movie other than the 1954 original, not so much the 1998 Tristar remake. People chuckle about the Zilla flick, but it's the 60s/70s Toho films that get the 'cheesy' comments, like the monster martial arts moves, guy-in-a-rubber-suit comments, etc.
This reboot should bury most of that reaction...
hey cinnemassacre, god love that channel
@DOGGIEZILLA Yeah I know, but we are talking about a 3D Godzilla Tournoment game like Melee and Save the earth.
Oh, he had a link that took me to a youtube channel so I wasn't sure. Still good artwork.
i hate that, whenever you say godzilla people think of A. tristar, B. the cheesiest moments of the whole series, C. mothra, giant moths are wierd, no offense to fans but mothra detracted from every godzilla movie except gmk were she was quickly vaporized by godzilla. in all truth godzilla has been kind of a big joke to most people for a while, hopefully this new movie, even if it doesn't do incredible, can at least begin the return of godzillas credability.
Amazing art work, I like it.
Dont worry, when this film is released those people that made fun of you will hop on the bandwagon & try to call themselves true fans.
i think he just means the picture. good art work.
just move on and forget about it, there the stupid ones. dont let people put you down.
I do see this as a good thing that we know it's going to be in the 2 hour range, but I still don't see this as a final time confirmation. If the movie is like anything of its genre, it'll run between 1 hour and 50 min to about 2 hours and twenty minutes.
Something like that.
Only a guess, but it sounds like a good range for the movie. I have a feeling that the 1954 scenes will, for the most part, be glossing over past experiences rather than being large fleshed out scenes which drag on. Again, just a guess. Either way, it's nice to hear that it's going to be around 2 hours in length. More time to get to see the Big-G!
I agree with hardship cause I've always got a bad reaction from people and when they ask me it's about the tristar one
haters gonna hate i guess. dont worry about
To be honest, that wouldn't be that hard to do. I love Godzilla as a character, and I was bananas about his movies as a kid, but in terms of cinematic and artistic integrity Godzilla movies are pretty darned hammy. Today I like to watch Godzilla movies when I'm feeling nostalgic and want something really cheesy. The first two Godzilla films, Rodan, and the majority of G'85 were the ones that lacked that corny factor.
I wouldn't be surprised if this topped the list if rated by biased by fond childhood memories of men in rubber suits.
Either none or "Our sins will be answered."
I fall in love with this!

I dont really care if it reaches #1, I just want it to be successful, get good rating and reviews and makes enough money at the Box Office to get 2 more sequels.
and the sequels to do well to
thats all It matters to me.
Should be the greatest with respects to GOJIRA!
The film will be a Blockbuster hit, no worries here.
It looks awesome, thanks for loading this Chris.
Godzilla is much clearer in the beginning. So is the Muto in the train scene.
Nice chris! :)
