I honestly don't think they will answer, and I also don't think things will get cut out. If they do it'll probably be a sex scene or something, and the Blu-ray will give us the cut scenes aswell.
We have a direct hit sir.Oh... oh my god! It's him, sir he's still alive! Go!GO!GO! Get out of h... Skreeeeeeonkkk!

@Joseph Hostage,
There's plenty of great PG-13 movies out there.
I'm not certain what the issue is, were you hoping for an R? Seems completely unnecessary.

Mattzilla115December 31, 2013
Once again, that's my point.
By the way, if your asking if I was hoping for an R, the answer is no.

There is no reason to make a Godzilla mocie and R pacific rim was pg-13 and thqt had cussing and blood

Joseph HostageDecember 31, 2013
I wasn't asking for an R rating. I was upset that PG-13 movies could have censorship. We aren't talking about sex scenes either. Godzilla Final Wars was censored because of the F-word battle between a Cop and a Pimp. I was hoping that this new Godzilla movie would be uncut regardless of any rating from MPAA.

Mattzilla115December 31, 2013
Ah, I see, also the sex scene was an example, I personally don't think there will be any sex scenes in this film, mainly because the love interests are married, it's just how movies go.

I understand why that makes you mad, I remember the F-word scene, and for some wierd reason the DVD won't play the uncut version, trust me, it pisses me off.

i think the movie will be pg at most. after all, godzilla 2014 is, fundamentally, for kids. pg-13 seems way too high for a godzilla movie, especially when the film's target audience is young kids

mattman559December 31, 2013
look at all the dead bodies by the wrecked train, theres no way this is going to get a PG rating. i also dont think theres any way this movie is going to be rated R. you can pretty much count on it being PG13

MikeyNamezJanuary 01, 2014
I'm not worried about the rating regardless R/PG13 it will be fine. Im more concerned that it could suffer from the Man of Steal Syndrome and have product placement out the ass. For me some of it works to make the enviornment feal authentic but like in MOS it was a bit much.

ZodgillaJanuary 01, 2014
@Backinaction: I don't know where you got that idea, but this movie absolutely won't be "for kids". How much darker could the trailer be? There's also going to be alot of human drama in this one, not something you see kids flock to...

G. H. (Gman)January 01, 2014
@Zodgilla
Kids will see Godzilla in the trailer and flock to that-- like it or not. The Dark Knight wasn't exactly for kids either, but they flocked to it and there were toys everywhere for the movie.
That said, it won't be PG. PG-13 seems like the most realistic MPAA rating for this movie.
"'Nostalgic' does not equal 'good,' and 'standards' does not equal 'elitism.'" "Being offended is inevitable. Living offended is your choice."

Durp004January 01, 2014
Wait you're angry that it might get somewhat censored because Final Wars didn't say the "F-word"? Seriously? I mean I could see being angry if the things they censored actually mattered to the story, or were important but who cares if they cut out a few cuss words?

AkagiJanuary 18, 2014
Because saying the F-word randomly in movies plus sex scenes makes the automatically uncampy!
DO PEOPLE REALIZE how badly an R rating hurts a films preformance? I mean honestly; the wolverine DID TERRIBLY compared to the other wolverine film, which had a Pg-13 rating. R rating for something as RISKY as a godzilla film... specially after how bad pacific rim tanked. Never happen dude. Let the fantasy go.
You're not going to get to see a Godzilla movie where he eats babies and nuns while stepping on couples as they have sex and yell the F word a million times.
He is 350ft Tall people, those things on his neck ARE gills, and the Brazil photo is part of the final advertising design-- Deal with it.

AkagiJanuary 18, 2014
The MPAA censors everything dude. Its life, they are like health inspectors, they HAVE to find at least one thing wrong with everything they look at or they get in trouble.
You need to watch the documentary on the MPAA, I believe it is called "UnRated"-- its all about how they purposely deconstruct films. Its their job and no amount of whining about it will stop it.
But I can guarantee you, whatever is cut from the film, will probably make it into a DVD, so you can calm down keyboard warrior.
