How successful will this movie be? How will the media take it?

No matter what, we(not the film, us) are going to lose publicly one way or another. Get used to that. We will be ridiculed even more than before, and so will the japanese series. The movie itself will either;
Get praised. Its likely too happen. Or atleast be good enough
Get hated on simply because its Godzilla. Also possible. And you know why.
And for us, no matter what happens we will now have to deal with three different kind of people.
The people who only like Zilla.
The people who only likes the new version.
People who only like Zilla and the new version.
Your right but not everyone is like that...just a bunch of em...God if they start joining forums we might have an issue
The film will be a Blockbuster hit, no worries here.
I dont really care if it reaches #1, I just want it to be successful, get good rating and reviews and makes enough money at the Box Office to get 2 more sequels.
and the sequels to do well to
thats all It matters to me.

How can people judge a movie they have not seen yet? If people would pay attention to details, it was said that this movie is in no relation to the '98 film. Besides, I dont know if it will be good or not, and neither does anybody else. Just looking at the trailer shows me that there is hard work being put into it. You worry to much about the future, just wait a few months. Who cares about what the media says? My question to you is: If the media hates it, will you too?
I'm not judging the movie, I'm just saying that the media doesn't know it's not related to zilla, it's just that people don't know. Speaking of details what gives you the impression I might hate the movie, I hate the media for ruining things that are not for tinkering. I will mostlikely love the movie, it could suck, I don't care about what is thought of us, unless it's not us, just bandwagon fans. I'm not worrying I'm thinking and predicting. What is it with people on this site taking it wrong, Good Lord!
My question for you, SHAZO, will you hate us for hating bandwagon fans?
I was not taking this wrong, not at all. For your question, MATTZILLA, I will not hate you for hating bandwagon fans, your feelings are your own. Everybody has an opinion, sometimes it might not be the opinion you like. I understand you love the site, believe as I do myself, but I have faith that the movie will succeed.
well i hope it makes money and there are more movies i also hope this brings in new fans
Who cares if there are bandwagon fans? As long as they promote the movie and make it money it doesn't matter what type of fans they are. It's not like there's any real negative to there being bandwagon fans
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the bulk of money made by Marvel movies are from bandwagon fans-- including myself. I consider myself an Iron Man fan, but I had no idea who the character was until the first movie. Bandwagon fans are the best. They keep franchises alive.
I think the movie will be a success, considering the tone and approach that's being taken, but the hardcore fanbase is a given. They'll be there no matter what. It's if the general movie-going public will have renewed interest in Godzilla, especially after the 1998 abomination. I think that's what's being counted on by Legendary, and will determine if any future films for the Big G are planned...
The media doesn't matter; think about how many movies that were given negative reviews went on to be big hits with the public.
