Something tells me the egg is a Godzilla egg, and the black represents... Well... I dunno. lol Probably just a really nice contrast to the egg.

Godzillasaurus, that's because they're all reporting from the source. Besides, like Grin Reaper said, most people have been hearing two monsters, not only one. Not many people have read all of the figure descriptions. On the chibi figures description, it says "BOTH mutos". Take that as you'd like, but it's easier to speculate that there's more than one Muto.

Nice sketch. However, some notes are that Godzilla will have stockier, more tree-like legs, his tail is likely going to be fatter on on the ground,he's going to be a little more plump, and the back spines are gonna be more jagged and rock-like.

Thank you Bubbazilla. I agree that Mechagodzilla may have been overused in previous Godzilla movie, but they could recreate Mechagodzilla's design slightly different so that it is their own unique version. I mean I personally like the idea of them adding their own monsters into the mix, but it would still be cool to have SOME of the originals appear. I mean even if they didn't decide to go in that direction, but the ending of this new movie might conclude with scientist trying to develop a way to defeat Godzilla and in the background you see what looks like blueprints of a Mechagodzilla type machine. Just to even tease some of the original kaiju would be pretty cool.

I believe Mecha-Godzilla would be a fit here. After you've exhausted all other weaponry against Godzilla why wouldn't they build it. It could still stick to the horror theme. A CGI King Ghidorah done right would be something I'd pay to see as well. It is realistic in the sense many irradiated mutations have multiple heads. Or perhaps it gets transported by aliens so anything goes. Gigan with the circular saw blade in his torso and Megalon with it's drill bit arms are far more unbelievable. It depends what Kind of a movie you want to see. Horror and realism or Kaiju wars with King Ceasar !?!? ( wtf is that thing?). Gojira the horror movie is much different than Son of Godzilla where Godzilla looks more like the Cookie Monster. Rodan was a horror movie like Gojira and could easily be added and updated CGI wise to be scary and realistic. The thing is some monsters cater to the " destructive Godzilla" theme while others cater to the "Savior of earth Godzilla" type movies. Mecha-Godzilla caters to the darker Godzilla theme so it would fit

Cool find! I wasn't even aware that this was back until you brought it up. Fantastic find, and great to know the Muto is a winged monster!

Most stories I've read report that he will face at least two other monsters in the movie. So I'm more inclined to believe it will not be a morphing type, but showing multiple monsters.

One source doesn't prove squat. I have read more sources that only tell of one Muto.

It sounds like we`ll either get multiple MUTO`s or a changing one. I guess the eight legged one is the one from the trailer shown at comic con 2013 (NOT THE ONE THAT WAS RELEASED), and the winged is either another type or its evolution/morph state. Personnaly, i like where this is going.

I haven't read too much in this thread, but I figured I might offer a brief two cents. There's something called tonal consistency in film and it's often passed from sequel to sequel-- especially in western films. No one's seen the movie yet, but if the trailer is anything to go off of I don't think a traditional MechaGodzilla would fit. Unless MechaGodzilla is just a really spectacular tank with Godzilla jaws painted on the side, which is not what fans would want, I don't see it appearing in this or any following films.

Like you, no idea on what Godzilla is going to be mutated from (to me, nor what geneder. I\'ve read that in the deep sea it\'s the females who\'s bigger). I do have a realistic monster to threaten Godzilla. 1: Kaiju-fied Deep Sea Crab. With their tough shell, this fella could take a beating. Particularly if it lived near a Hydrothermal Vent before mutation so as it can withstand high heat!

I hadn\\\'t gotten that far yet, but I\\\'m thinking on it. We could make up \\\'downloadable\\\' prizes. Prizes such as... 1: Top prize, a cool wallpaper of the size comparison of each of the Godzillas (and Zilla) that came before 2014 plus an animated gif that shows the head + year of that Godzilla (to be along side the size relation wallpaper). 2: For those that answered the 29 questions but failed to get the bonus right, it would be just the wallpaper. 3: Not sure on the other prizes for those that didn\\\'t do as well, but hopefully the above will give you some ideas.

"This coming from the guy who keeps moaning that the realism factor will take away elements like Mechagodzilla. Becides, better they use a famous foe like Mechagodzilla or King Ghidorah rather then a kaiju no one cares about, like Baran." Yes, i said it'd take away all the mechs, and any potential new ones; was mechagodzilla the only mech, no..... I the only reason peoples don't care about other kaiju is because toho has a thing for, despite having a wide variety of potential foes, putting the same 3(King Ghidorah, Mothra, and MechaG) in every other movie. This is finally a chance to see the lesser known enemies and you want to go back to the same thing? don't see why.

Becides, better they use a famous foe like Mechagodzilla or King Ghidorah rather then a kaiju no one cares about, like Baran. And that isn't even true. The realism factor will only go as far as peoples reaction to Godzilla and the other monsters and given that the idea of harnessing nuclear energy is in itself unrealistic then who's to say that mankind won't build Mechagodzilla as a counter measure? But given that the sequel will be based on Monster Island, it's hard to imagine how Mechagodzilla will fit in.

KyeroGodzilla 2014 ForumMechagodzilla in the sequel!
Not to sound overly negative, but Mechagodzilla most certainly does NOT fit the whole "realistic" thing that Edwards and Legendary Pictures are going for. Remember that this is Legendary Picture's interpretation of Godzilla, and taking more monsters from the Toho universe would be nothing short of contrived and irresponsible. Creating their own monsters and creating a fresh and new legacy for the Big-G in America takes precedence over pleasing fans who want to see new versions of Toho monsters, including Mecha-G. I know that Mechagodzilla has a lot of die hard fans who want to see a modern interpretation of him (not counting the millennium Kiryu incarnation), but the sad fact is that Mechagodzilla is not a "realistic" image. A crossover between Pacific Rim and Godzilla would be about as realistic as a giant robot vs Godzilla could get in a modern movie. To put a final nail in the coffin on this subject, there would be no logical reason to model a robot after Godzilla himself just because he happens to be the strongest of the Kaiju they've faced. Godzilla is bulky, slow moving, and has a power source as a Kaiju which human beings cannot possibly understand. Read the following information and you'll understand why: http://www.angelfire.com/ego/g_saga/kaijubiologyarticle.html A Mecha-Godzilla in the Legendary Pictures line up would be an obviously forced effort on the part of Gareth Edwards and LP to reproduce Toho's success, and as one of the most successful movie making companies in America today there is no reason at all for them to force themselves to turn to Toho's creatures for help. Mecha-G is an awesome monster, no arguments or complaints, but it doesn't belong in Legendary Pictures Godzilla franchise anymore than any other Toho monster does besides Godzilla himself.

MilqueChocolateGodzilla Fan Works ForumNow here's an idea I just had all of a sudden for a movie
It is a very decent idea, if you plan on being a script writer or author, you should make some touches to the plan or the main idea so you can grab the reader's attention. I made a FanFiction a couple days ago for a competition, the winner will be announced soon, and I had to make sure it grabbed the judges attention. I'm not saying that this a bad idea, but you should make some final touches. Overall, a very decent idea for a start. Keep up the good work.

@ZILLAHATER There is another Discussion that was talking about Godzilla's realistic traits, you should read up on that if you haven't yet. I like these comments, I have made lots of mistakes on it, as I said before this is my first discussion so it's not a good first impression. I will make a better, simplified one overtime.

You wanna know how to fit Ghidorah into a sequel? Here is the trick; Just make him a giant three headed dragon from outer space. Why change that? The entire realism thing is annoying me. If this was supposed to be realistic, Godzilla wouldnt be in the movie. Atleast, that depends on what kind of realism youre going for. When you make a kaiju films, there are two forms of realism; Technical realism (Shitzilla 98) and Political realism (Gojira, Godzilla 2014). Whats the difference? Technical realism is about making realistic looking stuff. Everything has too be realistic to a degree, for the creatures origin, the cgi, effects, sounds etc. Political realism comes, not from the monster, but by the people at his feet. Thats what made Gojira epic, the monster doesnt need to be all that realistic, its about how these characters react and what they do. The monster can be as fantastic and far fetched as they please. But there is nothing wrong with technical realism, and there will be a bit of it in Godzilla 2014 from what i can see. You may disagree with me, but thats just how i see it. Og god i made this comment far too long havent i? XD

Nope, not a good idea. Hummanity "all of a sudden" getting the technology and ressources to build a robot made sense in movies like Pacific Rim where so much time went on. Here, it wouldnt go. Besides, id rather see something more interesting like Gabara (Yeah, i said that!" or Baragon.

Oh I didn't know that BCRockett, thanks for that slice of info. and i think a megalodon might be a challenge for Godzilla ,because of Megalodon's sheer natural size and rows and rows of ridiculously large and sharp teeth. but if we wanna discuss realistic sea monsters for him to box, why not Godzilla take on something like a giant squid or another sea based Dinosaur like him(or what ever he will be in this one) or have him fight another Godzilla, like fighting for territory or a natrual food source, . that would be some thing to think about.

To clarify, Edwards said he wanted to explore the "Monster Island" concept used in the original Destroy All Monsters movie. He never, at any time nor place, said anything about making a sequel based on Destroy All Monsters as a film or story. The concept of using Monster Island and the concept of basing an entire movie sequel on Destroy All Monsters are two very different things, and it is a topic which has been mistakenly reported and debated for a long time now. So I will say it once more: Edwards never said anything about making a "Destroy All Monsters" sequel. He said he'd like to explore the concept of "Monster Island." Period.

Okay, here are my own ideas for the second monster to face the New American Godzilla: 1: A monster that employs the bio-luminescent lure trick used by real deep sea fish to draw in prey. 2: A monster sized 'Bobbit Worm', aka deep sea predatory worm that (in our real life/know counterpats) are big and tough enough to eat fish! 3: Some kind of parasitic creature (to do damage from the inside to defeat Godzilla). 4: A deep sea version of a megalodon.

In case the trailer doesn\\\'t come out.... well how about a \\\'Godzilla Movie Quiz\\\'? Here\\\'s my idea for it: 1: It would have 29 normal questions, each question is about a movie (the trick is figuring out which movie it is, yes even the 1998 Zilla film). 2: At the end will be a bonus question that could be from any movie(s) so it\\\'s the hardest of all. (So 29 regular questions and 1 Bonus = 30 questions in all) 3: Each normal question is worth 35 points and the bonus 999 points ([29 x 35 = 1,015] 1015 + 999 = 2014, the year of the American Godzilla).

Wouldn't fit into the realism at all as we wouldn't be able to develop that type of machine unless the sequel went about 20 years into the future. That and mechaGodzilla is an already overused enemy if they bring some1 back from the old series it needs to be a less used foe.
