My estimation on the 2014 Godzilla size!

I looked at the official Concept Art http://www.godzilla-movies.com/gallery/view/img/129 to start off with. I noticed the number 70 on the side of the tower on that ship being chased by Godzilla. I figured out that the ship is the USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70, the Aircraft carriers are numbered in this manner). Now its overall height is 252'! Just the Japanese Gojira seen in the movies (at most) is 328' tall when standing. So this True American Godzilla must be massive for its swimming height to (let's say) equal the height of the Carrier. I know Edwards said that this new Godzilla will be just taller than any other seen thus far. Most people have heard of the 1977-1979 Marvel/Toho Gojira, and it's taller than any other Godzilla (at least up to the 2014 Godzilla). Considering it was equal in height to the Space Needle tower in Seattle Washington, this Marvel Godzilla is 184 meters [600'] tall! To truly have a Godzilla larger than any other, it would need to be bigger than this one! Using this fan drawing http://www.godzilla-movies.com/gallery/view/img/164 I calculated a hieght of 630' [192 meters] which fits both the Edwards hint and is the right size to be the massive monster seen in the concept.

Gareth Edwards stated that this Godzilla will be only a hair taller than the tallest official Godzilla (which is 100 meters tall). Your best bet for his height in this movie would be 110-120 meters tall. The Marvel Godzilla is NOT a real Godzilla. In fact, it wasn't even close to 600 feet tall! The official stats for the monster on Marvel Wiki say that it is only somewhere between 20,000 tons and 60,000 tons. Marvel Godzilla is NOT the biggest Godzilla

Although Gareth has stated this Godzilla will be slightly taller, you have to wonder just how much that is. Is it 350 ft? Doubt it. Maybe 375 ft? Sounds more like it. I'd personally love if this Godzilla reached 400 ft. It'd just be awesome to have that label, I want Godzilla to be gigantic; big enough for escape to seem impossible for true terror, but small enough to still be beside buildings.

To InstinctiveGigan, at first I to thought of 400' tall. Just having the title of tallest Godzilla ever makes it very impressive. I looked up skyscrapers in San Francisco (the city that's supposed to 'greet' Godzilla) and was surprised at the sizes. The smallest Skyscraper they have is 400' tall! They have a lot of 400s, 500s, and even some 600s. The tallest is a little above 800'. Would Godzilla need to be just tall enough to be bigger than some skyscrapers but allow others to conceal him if needed? I know, I wish I could use the Comic Con trailer to get a size estimation, but it had nothing identifiable to guesstimate size.

This new Godzilla made by the Legendary is confirmed to be the biggest Godzilla at least up to the 2014 movie. So , how BIG will this Godzilla be in this ? What I can see in that trailer is that this new Godzilla will be at least up to ~ well I\'m not really sure , but that looks like this New G \'s size will be at least over 1000\' . And I have a theory that maybe our New G we saw in the trailer has not yet reached his/her full size or maybe he/she is just a preschool age Godzilla , that means our New G will still grow a lot much much more BIGGER.
