But there are no back spikes. Plus, the rib cage goes all the way back. If you told me a rumor that a dead Manda was in the movie, I'd say it sounds about right! Or maybe it's the "Vishnu" creature? *shrugs*
@MIKEYNAMEZ Godzilla or RoboCop?
@ZILLAHATER I have wanted to show the teaser trailer to other people, but I think that if I suggest it, they would think i'm insane. I think that people are so close-minded that they think: "You are interested in a movie about a giant lizard that was played by a man in a suit?"
The movie looks great untill people see the name Godzilla. They think it is ether childish or about a giant iguana...
This makes more and more sense the more I think about it. Aside from the fact that a good portion of the movie seems to take place in Las Vegas, there's also the fact that the nuclear tests in the Pacific were attempts to kill Godzilla in the films fictional history. There was also a lot of nuclear testing in the Nevada desert... perhaps those were attempts to kill some other powerful monster(s)? Of course, this doen't make Area 51 itself likely to be the major M.U.T.O. research facility; it's just as likely that it will be some other random base, or maybe there will even be multiple different facilities with entrances to the cave sytem the monsters call home. I'm fairly convinced now, though, that the film will have Godzilla emerging from the Pacific while the "Mutos" emerge from sinkholes in the Nevada desert.
I wonder what is that red light...

well, weren't people saying that the winged MUTO had Gigan-ish like claws? this is most likely the winged MUTO. I too, am wondering what the rest looks like. especially it's head and wings.
the leg IS coming out of somthing..... an egg perhaps?
open it in a new tab, if you look closly you can see embryos o-o
It makes me curious to see what the REST of him looks like!
I don't get why people can't seem to understand that Godzilla's apparent size in various shots throughout the movie will almost certainly not be accurate or completely consistent. That wasn't just a problem with GINO, even G54 made him look bigger than he should be in some shots so that he would be more imposing, and this is obviously why he seems so ludicrously huge in some shots. I'm pretty sure that, if he was even close to as big as he looks in the shot of him at the Castle Bravo crater, no building in the world would come close to his height.
the new godzilla roar was utter sh*t though and we didnt see any atomic breath but maybe its my mood or this movie is worse than 98 i just wish i was as excited as everyone else today
Everyone knows area 51 is where Elvis and Michael Jackson play golf.
Look at the trailer again. The skeleton is clearly in an underground cavern, with no ice in sight. There is also no sign of another dead monster.
@Guategojira
The script doesn't refer to Godzilla as 'prey' but as a rival for the Muto creatures. The script basically states that the Godzilla stars in this film is 'changed' by the bombing attempts on him. Meaning that the movie Godzilla is bigger, stronger, and meaner than the Godzilla that was locked in combat with the Muto in the ice.
Besides-- what would make Godzilla more awesome than if he killed something that was designed to kill him?
Lets be honest, part of what made the Kong King of Skull Island book so cool was finding out how KONG became king-- he earned it.
Lol, guys, its time to accept it-- that leaked script was real.
That skeleton is a dead Godzilla found frozen in ice, in combat with the Muto.
Deal with it. The skeleton has nothing to do with the oxygen destroyer or 1954 Godzilla.
If I'm wrong, you can shove it in my face when the film comes out-- but I highly doubt it.
Well one Godzilla is huge as shown here by the original godzilla and the nwe one size compared to eachother in that scene

Also Namu Island (where the nukes where launched) have steep hills.
That thing has an infection-- obviously.
I mean I won't lie, I wasn't really all that impressed with MOST of the CGI in the trailer, but then again-- I'm not usually impressed with CGI at all.
To be completely honest, even IF the CGI isn't that great, its still cool to see this different take on godzilla. Godzilla and special effects have never gone hand and hand with the concept of 'realism'.
@Judge Baggins Yes
and thank you AL for posting the photo on my topic.
I really think every1 is underestimating 350 feet.
Thats like a walking football field but bigger.
He wants to know if you prefer the huge surging of water, or the bubbling of the water accompanied by the blue flashes when he makes his entrances.
yeah i agree, i think the fakeness is due to probably the color in the compisiting and because of how fast it's rising, i think a slowness would proably make it look more realistic
Maybe it will be cleaned up a bit by the time it's released...still, it's a very cool shot. Reminds me of Son of G, with the tropical theme going on. :)
I just think the CGI work wasn't as good for that shot as it was for other parts of the trailer.
Or maybe they sped up the footage a little bit, maybe he naturally rises slower and looks more fake because it's on a slight 'fast forward' to fit the trailer.
I dunno, while I do appreciate the AWESOME look we get at his spikes, I do agree this was some of the weaker CGI work the trailer had to offer.
My theory is that they are Muto eggs and they are feeding off the Nuclear missile like an umbilical cord; they're feeding off the radiation in the warheads.
@Kaijufall3, well of course it's fake, giant kaiju don't exist, that we know of, just kidding haha , but seriously those island chains have huge drop offs into deep reefs right off their shore lines, so it is plausible for him to be swimming near it.
Still fanboying so hardcore!!!!
Believe it or not he is to scale with those destroyers at 350 ft, and i am sure Edwards and his crew were very sure to size him consistently.
i dont know why but this shot just looked fake to me
The Castle bravo test was unexpectedly large and left a huge crater 250 ft deep and 6500 ft wide. So assuming Godzilla is 350 ft tall and maybe 100 ft wide that should be more than enough space for him to swim. and plus, to me the water he is in looks deep blue.
And look at all these that show how huge he is.

Which scene are you taling about? Is it this one?

That is very true! Gareth has his own unique visual style. I just thought that this was interesting. He probably decided to go along with a similiar design of some sort for that concoon or whatever it is in the trailer.
I mean, are you kidding me? This Godzilla is everything he ever needed to be. xD

nope
but interesting to note gareth MADE all those visual effects, hes good he knows what hes doing

I know and it's like everyone forgot that Marvel's Godzilla was 150 meter's tall and holds the record of biggest Godzila to date ever made by TOHO.
its not tiny its huge but yea he should be 420 or 580 ft tall
also, common people! garreth said this is going to be the biggest G yet, 350 ft is F*cking tiny!
