This is disturbing. If the "leaked script" results to be true, then the skeleton found most be of one Godzilla specimen, previously killed and used as food for the mutos!!! However, like I said before, the skeleton doesn't look like a Godzilla, is too long and narrow.
I don't want a Godzilla that is just "prey" from another predator, Godzilla is the KING, not the victime here. >:(
haha! I:D
shobijin...
yea its an easter egg at best
@turebatman
ussually your pretty logical and all, but im afraid your argument is invlid, of course gtbeta pointed out most of the details already, so im not gonna waste my breath so to speak.
also, i dont think the 54 godzilla dies in this movie, i think that the godzilla in the whole movie is that same one coming back.
have no idea what to call it
ok so people are saying maybe i start to say no because the leaked fake script was real so maybe tallighan tell me what you think
Yes, Instead deffintly makes it more understandable but still have a ways to go....
Secondly the title of the tread sounds like a weird Godzilla/Indiana Jones cross over lol
@THE-TRUE-BATMAN Actually, you're wrong. Not only is it too slender in appearance- everything is told in it's positioning. If it was another Godzilla, where are its spines? This looks more and more like a serpent/ the more I look at it. This creature's body OBVIOUSLY consists of solely rib cage bones. It's 100% black and white true. It's right there. Not only are they rib cage bones, but theyre the same size rib cage bones. It's the same bone reoccuring all the way down the shot. Which leads me to believe that it is 100% a serpentine-"Vishnu" type kaiju. Non serpentine animals have a rib cage that has large bones and eventually dwindle down to small bones. This things doesn't. Plus your whole "muscle mass" thing does NOT pertain to rib cages. Rib cages are one of the few bone structures that actually outline a creatures body making it hard for fat or incredible amounts of muscle to grow around it. Rib cages on an animal like godzilla, let's say, would have to be incredibly large and gradually curving inwards to keep all its vital organs safe- not like this shot where the bones curve inwards, biologically speaking- incredibly quick. Which, again, leads me to believe that this kaiju has a long, slender and tightly compact body.
I would be surprised if they were in it because of the fantasy element. I don't think Mothra will be in the movie. Going to feature this anyways.

oh i know why i put bring insted of bringing
The trailer just broke 1.1 million views on Youtube in less than 12 hours. None of the recent trailers in the past three weeks or the Super Bowl spots did that.
I dont want to be a dick, but this post makes less than no sense. Commas and periods go a long way when trying to formulate a cohesive sentance. #JustSaying
Definitely an easter egg.
Watching the trailer several times over in 1080p, they're frozen in place like manequin dolls. I do have to say, it's a very nice easter egg to see. However, it's most definitely not the Shobojin. Whatever the flying MUTO is, it's not afraid of water as proven by it's nosedive into the ocean. Mothra can't take water, so she's not an option.
Still cool to see though, no arguments here.
That was my thought as well. I think the mutos are hidden under the earth in Area 51, if you look at the foot that stomps down, it's glowing. This is common in things that live in areas without light (deep in the ocean for example). So, mutos living in underground caverns that we access in Area 51 fits.
I hope not. The Area 51 gimmick has become overused and a little dated. The level of conspiracies going on in the new film are of such great magnitude that intigrating something as suspect as Area 51 comes off fairly cliche.
this is english
SHOT 25: This looks like the wing tips of the flying creature to me.
SHOT 35: I don't think the claw in slamming onto the ground. From the surroundings, I looks to me like a rooftop.
it could be a bit of a homage to rodan, i mean why not? now as for it actually being rodan, nah, don't think so
@Godzilla Himself Actually, you're wrong. It's not too small, a lot of what you see is muscle mass, meaning his skeleton will naturally be smaller than his body. You see, I think this is the original Godzilla from 1954, killed by the Oxygen Destroyer. This explains why Serizawa is there, he might be a descendent of the same Serizawa who sacrificed himself to end Godzilla. That's also how he knows where the skeleton would be. It was passed down from mother to son to son.
I will eat you........
What is this I dont even
heres why i dont think its another godzilla,
1. its too small in genral
2. its very long and slender looking, not a godzilla xharacteristic,
3. if the neclear tests(or actually attempts to kill godzzilla according to the trailer) didn't kill him, then thats probably not a dead godzilla
however, i also have this theory-
the Godzilla that is actually the main monster of the movie is for some reason or in some way differient and more powerfull than the other members of his kind, and this is one of those weaker individuals, of course that still doesn't explain how its all serpentine though...
really cool trailer and poster dude
I was, and still am, awestruck.
I had my doubts because I've probably been a Godzilla fan for longer than most of you have been alive! >.<
I was quite impressed with the acting, the drama, the special effects and especially Godzilla. I was one of the people against the "elephant feet" but with THIS Godzilla - you ain't lookin' at his feet! He's jawdroppingly scary and majestic.
MHO? I loved it and can't wait until May 16th.
Godzilla would be compared to "Bruce" from Jaws... You are right, the lead characters performed by the actors and the stories surrouding them are whom develope the plot and give you a good story when it is the case (in others could be bad, like Jaws 4 or Godzilla´s revenge), but honestly, in both cases you are seeing the film mostly for the creature itself. But what differencies Godzilla from Bruce, is that Big G already has a large trayectory and gained the enough presence to be considered an important "character", not a mere featured creature. That is the premise used in some statements from the upcoming items and descriptions "we are bringing back a loved character". I am not telling the trailer is bad, it shows the great development of the movie and the dramatic tone it has; it just me I did not feel thrilled because I prefered to see a bit more of Godzilla on it; at least having a brief glipse of him like thes instead the bunker scene:

Ghost was captured in Godzilla 2014 LOL
Considering the trailer almost completely confirms the original 'fake script' isn't fake, its more than likely another Godzilla skeleton.
Could it be them? Yes, certainly dose look like them in fact. But with everyone involved claming that the movie is going to be "grounded", I find it hard to beleive.
Then again, this is Godzilla we are talking about. Where exactly dose grounded begin?
Also, if you look closely one figure is less pronounced then the other and has what looks like a rectangle (maybe a mirror) behind it. So, it could just be a reflection of one person or object.
"godamnit mothra, we told you to destroy godzilla not the city!"
XD
My life is complete now!
i love what i see but i dont know about the Roar it sounds too digital!
@GMAN: Well put.
You reminded me how Edwards stated one of the isnpirations for the tone of Godzilla 2014 is Apocalypse Now. The way you describe Godzilla being used as a device for this film/marketting reminds me of how Commander Kurtz (Marlon Brando) was used in Apocalypse Now. That movie is so amazing, and Kurtz is definitely depicted as an amazing and terrifying being.
please give it up Rodan lovers, you guys are just in denial. First step, admitting, second step is accepting the fact its a new monster, lets move on.
