i saw it too!! :D i did'nt make a disscusion cuz it would've caused some u know...."arguments" but yeah Great Find bro! that really looks like its the flying muto! :) same color too
anyone else notice the giant skeleton in the trailer? Anyone else notice that ken watanabe's character is named serizawa. This movie has direct ties to the oxygen destroyer an. It would make lots of sense for the monster to be tied to that. My guess for the monster is destroyah because the mutos sorta sound like the earlier forrms of him. Anyone care to share their opinion?
You have covered everything bro.......nice work, very detailed too.
The last image does look like the queen meganulan from the concept trailer. If this is Gareth Edwards' idea of an "original monster", taking an existing monster from Rodan and changing the feet and color, then I have some reservations about the final film.
you know what, this is starting to sound like a wierd mix between rodan and megaguirus.
If the toy fair desciption wasn't buglike I might see the chances, but since we know 1 flying monster in the film looks like mothra with Gigan' hooks I don't see a Rodan like monster making an appearance. Unless there are 2 flying monsters but doubt it.
I found something interesting about that flying MUTO. I thought it could be Rodan or somethin like that but I believe it is something totally different. If you freeze the trailer during the scene where the bridge is visible you can see something flying around in the background. If you freeze it just right you can see someing with two wings and a tail. After you find it then go and look up flying destroyah and comapair the tail to the scene where the flying creature is diving into the water.
I like to think it's a homage to Rodan. Although I have heard rumor of the Giant Condor.
Or maybe it's this:

(Does your name happen to be reference to the third colossus from 'Shadow of the Colossus'?)
@kaijufan, what website did you get your sorce from? (just wondering.)
but if they are being realised on March 17, I'll be sure to buy them and post a toy review on youtube ( I might not post a toy review though.)
B.T.W., that link is funny, having it shiped early lolz!
I don't think the movie will actually reference Godzilla's past franchise in its timeline.
Here's my current understanding of the timeline, based on trailers and interviews with the director:
1950s - Godzilla awakened (created?) by nuclear testing in the Pacific. Some "natural" disasters on islands occur as a result of his presence.
1956 - The US government (and perhaps Japan) is aware of the beast and unsuccessfully tries to use nuclear weapons to destroy it. The world thinks these are nuclear tests.
1956 - Based on presumed-to-be-unreliable story of a monster in the Pacific, Toho makes a movie about "Gojira", a giant radioactive monster, fitting the description given to them.
1960s-90s - "Godzilla" becomes a popular movie franchise, prompting Toho to create more and more fictional monsters to battle Godzilla in the movies, who is now a heroic figure. Note that these monsters are all FICTIONAL in this world (in other words, this is a complete wipe and reboot).
1999? - The real Godzilla, however, is still around. Tremors caused by him cause a nuclear plant accident in Japan where Bryan Cranston's character works as a nuclear physicist along with his wife. The accident is blamed on an earthquake.
2014? - 15 years later, still haunted by the events in Japan, Cranston pieces together details of other "natural" disasters and concludes that government(s) are hiding the real cause.
2014? - Perhaps as a potential defense against Godzilla, the government has been creating giant creatures (MUTOs) in the Nevada desert. They are either released or escape and end up battling the big guy.
Bandai is preapring to ship them out the the retailers to meet the street date, March 17
@Godzilla Himself!
Woops! I didn't know you posted that picture already! :O Sorry!
(I removed the picture.)
As long as there's no ridiculous "monster martial arts" or human-style punching, etc. I'm fine with it. He's an animal and should fight like one: biting, clawing, etc...
I'd settle for just a lack of condescension on the part of some members. This is about a movie, not snobbery...
Can't see the trailer dude. Link please.
Even though its the same post as before, these spoilers still manage to keep us in suspense as to what will happen in the film.
I have still yet to understand why it is so difficult for an American distributor to get there hands on Return of Godzilla/Godzilla 1985?
It's a great movie!
Aww your pics have to be on a site already....I don't think I'm gonna be able to show you my pics soz
Sorry guys I was away for the night with no wifi, **AL** thanks fort the link and those are great drawings guysI ill put up s'more of my own soon aswell thanks 😊
Well, I for one am glad most people don't pay much regard to what I've posted before, even if I did put a lot of thought into some of them. Better to be ignored than scolded at, I guess. Either way, it'll be a VERY long two more months of waiting for the upcoming movie. My nostrils, my mouth, my gills, my dorsal spikes, my tail, my eyes, my ultra-hard skin, my enormous stature and proportions that don't falter under their own weight, and my atomic heart are all just itching to see what happens next.
P.S. I'm not saying I'm Godzilla in that little blurb in the end. I;m just that weird of a person.
Personally didn't see a problem but I don't use the 2014 section that much. Maybe people are just more civil in the classics section
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Any personal attacks I see I'll step in, I even screen cap it for evidence. The personal attacking isn't that bad, but regardless it shouldn't be happening and it won't be tolerated. This is a forum, so you can't prevent threads from being made, even if they lack thought. This site is starting to see more and more users each day. Any thread we see as pointless/off-topic/assaulting/ect or a clear re-post will be closed. I do agree with you, people need to be more civil during the debates.
Thing is @AKAGI is too aggressive for example on that forum about the atomic roar toy, he talks saying that the Brazil promo face is the final design, I responded by saying it doesn't look like it, compare it to the empire cover it looks like it wasn't finished, what does he say 'it is the final design, deal with it' thats not the whole quote but it was a immature response despite the fact I used other evidence to back me up (I'll probably need to edit this as I am on my phone)
EDIT:forget what i said, it was early in the morning and i thought he was talking to me, he was talking to someone else who thought that toy was fake
i think the cover of King Kong Escapes is awesome lol. MechaKong looks incredibly...yeah
This is the second topic on Gills you've posted, and you didn't post any images backing your point, you just posted what you thought, like in the last one. Locking this
I 100% agree with you Madison. but today, i saw a discussion i got overly excited on and lashed out on Akagi. I think it was partially a misunderstanding on how he was worded everything and the fact i was frustrated it wasn't something legit and said somethings that were a little harsh. but after seeing his reply, I immediatly apologized and told him why i had said what i did and hopefully he saw it before the topic was closed. i kinda feel like this right now:
What the hell is Sonys deal if double feature dvds and blue ray, why can't they use 1 movie on 1 disk like everyone else, is it too much money
This is a great thread as I said, but for some reason it keeps sticking on my browser.
I saw the cover for King kong escapes... And my eyes started burning....
But it's kind of hard to believe that they would make a toy of a character that wouldn't be in the movie.
