Depends how good it is really, which i am pretty sure its gonna be awsome, so about...
cant say really...
Also REALLY? Is the old school cry to your mommy threat the best thing you can through at me LOL. Your so weak >:D Go cry me an ocean so I can fight my next enemy ( destroya) in a water battle. But make sure you put duct tape on your mouth so I don't have to hear you ***** while your filling up the pool.
Or godzilla has been taking a nap for 60 years...
Cacoon perhaphs?
Saberblackcrow@ Woah someone needs a breath mint for his atomic breath. Hey I get mad at a lot of things com on dude this is no reason to turn into the incredible hulk. Its just some drawing made by a G fan. If you don't think its right then just say it. I don't think its a face but I mean jeeze ._.
Guys,
Gareth Edwards said that he wanted to make a new monster for this movie- something different. He said to make the Muto(s), he took bits from all his favorite things. Unless he's only referring to one of the monsters, this seems to pretty much confirm there won't be any Toho ones in the film. Even though I will say, it would have been cool. But being honest, I like what they're doing by making something we haven't seen before.
If u guys go back to the trailer and look at that scene, and look where the lamp and bridge r at u can see a object that moves in a wave like pattern. U guys should really go check it out.
Just like Dannyblazor, I'll probably see it once in IMAX 3D for my birthday (which is exactly nine days after the movie comes out. May 26). Then, if the movie is good (which I'm certain it will be), I'm gonna buy it when it comes out on DVD. I would love to see it more than once, but IMAX is expensive. I'll be lucky if I even get to see it in IMAX the first time.
I feel like this is definitely a repeat topic, but eh, whatever.
It really depends on how good it is. I obviously believe that it is going to be pretty damn good based what I've heard/seen so far, but there is no way to be certain until it actually comes out.
If it's bad, or just ok I'll probably only see it once.
If it's at all good, I'll definitely see it twice.
If it's just flat-out excellent, like not just good for a Godzilla movie, but also good when compared to other excellent films like Jurassic Park, In Bruges, Star Wars V or something like that, then I'll see it 3-5 times depending on my budget at the time of release.
There is only one movie ever I've seen more than 5 times in theaters. I actually saw it 8 times, but I just don't objectively see Godzilla touching that kind of level.
you have a point there @JUNKERDE
That's really good. I especially like the spider one.
To quote Sergeant James Heller from [PROTOTYPE 2], "Now that right there, that is the shit."
Does anyone other than me think that 100m is a bit too small? I saw the size comparison chart above and decided to compare his height to several different bridges and momuments. What I found out had me questioning his height. I understand the film will make him look huge with low camera angles etc, but what about the long shots of him possibly destroying things like the Golden Gate Bridge? The Golden Gate Bridge is 227 m from the top of the water so, in my opinon, won't this make Godzilla look kinda small?.... Just something that's bugging me, but it wont stop me watching the film. SO EXCITED! :D
Honestly, I was expecting this toy to be better. But at least that the Atomic Breath will be blue in the movie. I just hope the Atomic Breath doesn't come out like that, what with the head and all for the toy. Godzilla doesn't need to bend over to use his trademark weapon, nor does he need his head to open like that.
Sorry guys, but Godzilla's height was confirmed by Gareth Edwards himself to be 350ft in the Empire Magazine article. That, and Legendary themselves provided Empire with the size chart that proved his height is indeed 350ft. It's not a debate anymore. It's confirmed on all counts.
Every waking hour until I'm kicked out of the theater. ;)
I now have a reason to actually break my piggie bank.
ths sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!!! defineey pays a great amount of repsect to the original.
I don't think we can use past Godzilla movies as an indicator of this Godzilla's approach to fighting.
This movie is set in our world where everyone has seen Godzilla movies by Toho. But those movies were just movies, based upon Toho's interpretation of a disaster story told in 1954.
This Godzilla is supposed to be the "real" Godzilla that all of those movies are based upon. It's a big reason why it wouldn't make any sense to see any later Toho monsters as well.
I will watch it 4 times, the power of 4.
I will wait for X-Plus.
looks like the ignorance kicked in, did you remeber what they said their toy would be? "collector level detailing" for the atomic breath godzilla, they put this crap out, and this is they best they got? Even for a KIDS toy this looks so cheap and insanely crappy. They cheaped out, "collector level detailing" my ass. And because it's a POS, even for a kids toy, i have a right to bitch about it, this is more like it's made for a 5 year old and younger
Keep in mind this POS is the $35 "deluxe" figure they've been boasting about, and it looks like ass.
Actually everyone, the sad fact is that it's not a monster or even a plane.
Watch the first plane that goes down in the shot, and you'll see that the little bit of darkness is just part of the splash produced by that first plane hitting the water. Just watch the plane, and watch the water that goes into the air and track it.
It's just water guys. That's the sad reality of this image.
Guys come on its so fake! Embargo is still going on and it's using the old promo art. Clearly a bootleg. How could the legit stuff already be out on the market? The new pics from Empire shows a totally different look of Big G!
... Umm... You do realize that "Janjira" is a fictional power plant created for the movie right?
i'm pretty sure there are homages of toho monsters, which is a safer optiona nd the next best thing. also there is supposed to be a 'surprise' in the movie according to those who went to see the 20mins screening in the uk
It is unlikely that Toho monsters will be in the film. HOWEVER, it is NOT impossible. All of the rumors that their won't be stem from Toho retaining rights. However, Toho IS helping to distribute the movie, not to mention in interviews Edwards said he would like to have other Toho monsters in the film along with originals AND wouldn't confirm or deny the presence of other Toho monsters. So they COULD be in there and it COULD be Rodan. If Ghidorah is in this I would be very surprised
That would mean that we only see the tail entering the water in the trailer. In that case this thing would be much bigger then the trailer lets on. Awesome drawing.
In theater? Probobly once... in IMAX 3D. But I probably won't go back in theaters due to how much it costs. Then watch it again and again on Netflix or a TV channel.
Very cool, it might have the same structure as that but definitely not as much spikes.
@free5
I've gotten that info from comments from previous posts, and it's almost clear that no other TOHO monsters will be in it, there might be references but not the actual thing.
seriously, where do i say it's good enough for me to buy, this is something to give to my little cousins not for me, now stop bitching becuase this is a kids toy, not a insultive peice of crap like zilla
WOW! This is amazing! The first day of the month and already we have a new image of the American Godzilla. Great find!
The American Godzilla is brown in color, just like the suit of the 1954 Gojira.
@godzillafan1995
thats fine then you can buy and play with this derpy looking piece of godzilla sized crap while i get a neca figure, the only thing that looks anywhere close to godzilla.
wrong, thats debris from the jet that falls down
Godzilla,s not a dinosaur he a man made creature who hungers for nuclear power. dude watch your movies(:
I'll be going at least twice, that's for sure.
