I have been reading the details of how Godzilla will fight in the newest EMMPIRE magezine, featuring Godzilla! So far, all we know is that his fighting style will be that of a bear and a Komodo Dragon.
So, with these tactics in mind, I think we can assume Godzilla will be no push-over like Zilla! ;)

Gareth said that in the old movies the fights turn into wwe matches, picking up the opponent and trowing him around, so this is much better alternative

I agree. :) AS much as I love the kooky Showa films, I prefer a realistic fighting style for this particular Godzilla. :)

To be honest I dont think G figthing style will resemble a Komodo, it looks so awkward, the grizzly on the other hand look badass
i think he will have the brute froce fighting like a bear while he and slashes like a komodo
Wow! What a wicked combination! :) This Godzilla is going to be brutal!!!! Bears and Godzilla go way back to 1954: Horuo Nakajima spent his lunch breaks at Ueno Zoo watching bear movements while formulating his approach to playing Godzilla. While he based his movements on a bear, the fighting style was definitely more anthropomorphic than animalistic. I'm glad Gareth revisited bears for this movie! The fights are going to be mind blowing!!!!!!!!

Also, I've been thinking about this. Being that they studied bears and Komodo Dragons, I think it means that Godzilla will face someone that is in close physiology with Godzilla, because bears and Komodo Dragons are (obviously) very similar to each other. So at least one enemy will be similar the Godzilla in my opinion.

I say it should be a mixture of a grizzly bears, a komodo dragons, and Godzilla's fighting stlyes we have seen in the past. The one move I would like to see Godzilla do again is the drop-kick he pulled on Megalon. I think Godzilla's best fighting style was in Godzilla: Final Wars. Either way, as long as his fighting style is true to his character, I'm good with what ever Godzilla does.

I don't think we can use past Godzilla movies as an indicator of this Godzilla's approach to fighting.
This movie is set in our world where everyone has seen Godzilla movies by Toho. But those movies were just movies, based upon Toho's interpretation of a disaster story told in 1954.
This Godzilla is supposed to be the "real" Godzilla that all of those movies are based upon. It's a big reason why it wouldn't make any sense to see any later Toho monsters as well.
