I think its fake

damn godzilla fighting that is like a truck running over a geo, damn i cant wait to see this brutal ass whoopin, but in the end none of godzillas foes should really be able to fight him and if they could kill him the resulting fall out from the nuclear nightmare that would occure would kill it and most of the planet as well. i wonder if they will cover the fact that godzilla is a walking fusion reactor that if breached could kill everyone. 

Whomever wrote this knows nothing about DNA. There's no way this would get into a Hollywood script.

Soon, I'm assuming. Reason is I've seen in a local store, spots cleared out with Godzilla toy lables on them with a march 14th date.

Considering that a lot of these toys shipped -a long time ago- and were already in warehouses for a while now, expect it soon. Most movie toys start selling like, what, eight weeks before the film premier? It goes up and down depending on the film-- movie transformer toys usually hit shelves about 2 months before premier, so yeah.

Just keep an eye out everytime you head to the store. 

I think this may be a fake. The bull DNA thing made me snicker. Bulls are usually attracted to the waving motion of the muleta (red cloth), not the color.

However, I do like that Joe Brody's wife was absorbed, and the Mutos can reproduce from that. :) that's a creepy idea!

Some of these aren't conveniances or contrivances, really...

The MechaGodzilla very much is, but that's because Toho wanted a new single to sell and Jun Fukuda did what he could to accomidate them. I've always found the head thing glaringly odd though.  I don't think it's conveniant. I just think it's a flaw. But that's okay. It doesn't distract from the overall story and fun that Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla does such a great job of  pushing.

The missile explosion in 1985 I felt was a brilliant way to revive Godzilla. The entire movie exists to play on a cold war theme and the irony that Japan survived the atomic explosion just to find themselves against a re-energized Godzilla was fantastic. There were already plot points in place that suggested the missile was going to go off and be a threat of its own before Godzilla even made it to shore. Plenty of movies weave together plotlines like this.

As for Biollante, I don't see that being a big deal. I mean, why did she drop from the clouds to begin with? The answer is just because the story needed her to. That's probably more convenient.

And finally, Rodan was flying to Godzilla in order to sacrifice her energy. She didn't simply fall on him out of coincidence. This was a concious decision on Okawara's part since the original ending was considered a little too extreme. I don't think it's very well thought out, but it more or less works.

This isn't to say there are conveniant moments in almost every film in the series; but, at the same time, no more than most movies. For example say... The Dark Knight. (So the Joker staged an elaborate car chase just to get arrest on purpose in hopes that he would talk to Batman at a police station? Uh-huh... ;) )

Concerning the Mechagodzilla 2 scene; Rodan was still alive, and he flew onto Godzilla, and Rodan died saving him.

It's rumored to be Friday, March 14th. :) Definitely this month.

Unfortunately, the enemy looks very cheesy. The front arms appear to be fixed in place making it little more than a plastic foam ornament as opposed to an action figure

I'll be updating the information as more of it comes, but I'm practically circling any new info like a shark.

As for Toho's HD transfers, it's actually a great transfer... on Japanese TVs... Apparently Japanese contrast levels are different than that of American contrast levels so apparently the discs will look a lot softer on our televisions. I'm no expert on the subject, but I've read that's what the issue was with Destroy All Monsters and other Toho Blurays being viewed in the States.

I'm with you on Sony's mastering though. Their Godzilla DVDs, despite the lack of effort put into the audio/features, were gorgeous.

Ahh thanks Junkerde! How blind of me not to see that! I should've looked closer at this & probably would've noticed that both the clips I described were from the same scene. So yeah obviously in the first clip I describe they are clearly tagging Godzilla & in the one the cap was from he's obviously just continuing on his way! That is again for clearing that up!

Still, there is that humming noise....

damnit. well they're still running a good $50-$60 a piece with no subtitles. It's cool they are doing this, the only thing im looking forward to are special features, but if youve ever seen their bluray versions the picture is incredbily soft and dull for Blu-Rays, not a BIG CHANGE from their dvd counterparts, i own the dvd and blurays.

I am actually looking forward to the AMerican Releases though. Apparently Sony are releasing Blu-Rays themselves, I hope sony does their own Remastering print, because im not such a fan of toho's soft transfers. And yes I know hedorah, sea monster etc, those titles that just got licensed are using the toho transfers too, but again atleast they have english subtitles. Looking forward to american releases.

I saw this too. The discs they've already released look fantastic and the special features for each are incredible. Furthermore, for people living in North America, Blurays have from Japan have the same region code. So they'll play on American BD players.

The main drawback, for me, is there is no english subtitle option on any of the discs what-so-ever. I love watching films in their respective language, but having no subtitles is a dealbreaker for me. Which is why I'm looking at the North American discs very closely.

I didn't say no other monsters. I said it would wait for a few movies to come out and then take those monsters and take some from the TOHO movies.

It's most likely speculation at this point.

That's the default profile pic for those that don't choose profile pics. It used to be Godzilla behind the dust cloud from the original teaser but they've updated it.

can we just stop with this stupid gill thing, i'm sure they are there to add detail in the design, you guys will probably not see the gills when watching the movie unless there will be close up shots of godzilla.

So what if godzilla has gills what wrong with that? Is godzilla a realistic  idea, hell no, that being said that doesn't mean they can't add realistic elements to godzilla . Also I think the realistic part comes from the destruction godzilla brings

yeah it is hard to read at some points, but i get your point, some fans have been taking the realistic part too far and acting lie it is fact, for example they belive that godzilla atomic breath will be the steam from the early showa becuase 'it's realistic' even though the reason he had a steam breath was becuase of the limitations of special effects and that the atomic breath will be red becuasue 'that's realistic'.

also the recent 'atomic roar' toy has shown that godzilla will fire his atomic breath (the position he uses won't probably be in the movie) but the atomic breath itself is unrealistic, no matter if it is a gas or beam.

i've been trying to tell those fans to think what the realism part really is, i have always said that really it's not the look that will be the realistic part, it is the effect of the creature, godzilla will have a 'slight' realistic design (like how somepeople claim zilla is a realistic design) but it is his effect on civilisation and the world reaction to him that will be realistic, same thing with the atomic breath, it is not the look that will be realistic, it is the effect that will. not only will objects be obiterated, but it will melt objects around the breaths attack. 

people are losing their faith in the MUTO monsters beccause an 'undetailed' toy had what looked like a ''unrealistic design'' and 1 person even went so far as to saying that it is shit becuase it's unrealistic, honestly HOW THE FCK are you going to make a menacing monster that is realistic.

First off, I'm having some trouble reading this. When in forums I highly suggest you use periods to seperate your sentences and create multiple smaller paragraphs so people can read what you're trying to tell them.

Secondly, I don't think we can say yet if they're gills or not. Personally, I'm in the gill corner. They look like gills to me and I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. However, I can't claim to know if they are or not because I haven't seen the movie yet and that information hasn't been officially revealed.

We'll all have to wait and see what's the deal with those large layered scales on his neck.

i was 10 years old when watching this film and i never felt so upset that yeah i did choke up my hero was dying :( now even when i had to play that heartfelt depressing music akira ifukube's requiem at my brothers funeral yeah it was very emotional then and still is.

because biollante was and is a plant type monster they could use her because raditation cand cause stuff to have an abnormal effect either killing them or like godzilla became massive plus with godzilla's regenerative cells being in the mix with plant cells that is definitly a plausible cause.
