I have discovered a correlation between Vishnu and the Mutos!

It describes Vishnu as the all-pervading essence of all beings, the master of—and beyond—the past, present and future, the creator and destroyer of all existences, one who supports, preserves, sustains and governs the universe and originates and develops all elements within. Though he is usually depicted as blue, some other depictions of Vishnu exist as green-bodied, and in the Kurma Purana he is described as colorless and with red eyes.[6]
Now for those of you who saw that mutos eye you would know that it's body is a colorless gray and it has red eyes. And just like Vishnu the mutos have multiple legs/arms.
" It is better to be reviled than ignored, agleast then you know your spreading good in this world."
interesting, very interesting, i will have to look into this more. if these mutos are coming from the pits, then they have probably been around a while, different variaties of them too, then they could be used to explain certain aspects of mythology.
king of the monsters
That line, taken from the Comic-Con trailer/footage, was actually spoken by J. Robert Oppenheimer after the first successful nuclear test.
'Vishnu takes on his multi-armed form and says, “Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds"
The leaked trailer was linked in this thread, maybe it's still there in the comments. People were posting it left and right. :)

If the MUTOs are being compared to Vishnu, then they are even more close in relation to Destroyah, which DID have the power to destroy the world. Think about these craters, and what it's like inside of the earth, there isn't any oxygen inside, now is there? Now I want you to think about what would happen if a creature came in contact with something it wasn't normally exposed to, and instead of dying from it, it only made it stronger. These creatures might absorb oxygen itself, or even worse, break it down. Now, what other monster in the Kaiju realm did just that...
yes, that is a sound point. in one of the preiods of prehistoric times arthropods grew to gigantic sizes, why? increased oxygen. these creatures could function similarly and maybe go a step further by breaking oxygen down like you said. i wish i had thought of this when i made my mutos/destroyah post. also, that would explain in part why they are laeving the pits. of course im sure the main reason will be some human action.

Is it just me or does Vishnu seem like godzilla himself. before anyone gets ideas i just think that because it is said that in Vishnu's last avatar he would purify the world of sin. Humanity could have made Vishnu angry *Cough* Nuclear bomb *Cough*, He could appear as godzilla riddingthe world of humanity. This explains why Godzilla is a planet saver as well as a destroyer to humanity. You cant be sure what to think of him.
I'm with Gojira of godzilla on this one.
I have to dissagre with that if anything Godzilla represent's the Pheonix not Vishnu.

...I don't know if this exactly the place to put it, but am I the only one that thinks the Muto in the very first bit of footage might be a mutated Tardigrade/Water Bear? They have the same plated body, 8 arms, even the same "hands":
It could definitely be interesting if the Mutos were mutations of microscopic animals, the Tardigrade especially, being the only organism capable of surviving in space...
Just a neat idea, haha.
@GOJIRA SENPAI Wow! That's a good find! It would be so awesome if Mutos were mutant microscopic creatures. :D
"Daddy's home- cake every night,"
Haha, thanks! I was surprised when talking around to people on Tumblr about it that they agreed too! It could definitely explain a lot, Water Bears can go for 10+ years without food, water, light, etc., maybe they're mutated MANY years ago (like 1954?) and they hide until now, they reveal themselves and M.U.T.O. is hunting them down?
That is a possability, Gojira Senpai. I'm curious about the Winged Muto though. Perhaps it may be a subject of splicing different micro-organisms (if that is even possible)?
"Daddy's home- cake every night,"
i like that water bear theory, it seems very reasonable and would certainly be something different than what american audiences are used to seeing. nice observation.
ps. i wish there was a giant camel spider
water bears are fascinating, if certain kaiju have similar attributes it would explain a-lot.
king of the monsters
@MATTMAN559 I love Camel spiders! I think a giant one would be terrifying, and powerful (especially with it's massive jaws)! :)

Interview with J. Robert Oppenheimer about the Trinity explosion, first broadcast as part of the television documentary The Decision to Drop the Bomb (1965), produced by Fred Freed, NBC White Paper.
The world will spin well past our last breath, but I will always care about you
Well, as far as the known mutos go, according to the toys one is eight legged. But also, there's word that this creature was just made for the teaser trailer. Interesting speculation.
Did anyone watch ETN's video called do you see what i see? He showed the picture of those sinkholes and i thought that it was very intersting when he pointed out that it looked like there was something in the hole, and i saw that bump like thingy too.
Sorry, but who is Vishnu
I fell like I'ma get punched in the face for asking
RESPECT THE GOLDEN MIRU
hmmm seems a stretch, if anyone would try to relate something to a god i would think they would look at godzilla as being some kind of reincarnation of some vengful god.
