Thank you for the review and the advice :) i'll take it into account next time a make a trailer.
Yes, most undoubtedly!
What if your wrong and there not gills because you don't know what they are because the only way you can know what they are is if Garth told us and if we saw the movie so yeah if I'm wrong I'm wrong if I'm right I'm right if your wrong your wrong if your right your right we honestly don't know what they are but Garth said that he would keep some classic things but he would look different but with some classic things and he told us if you would watch the interviews how the movie will be realistic and. By looking at the figures and the game and the trailers there the same color as his skin and look completely attached so there's now room for any gill slits because they look like there completely attached to the skin just saying but hey we won't know until we see the movie or if Gareth tells us what they are
Well lets start with the good points. The music went appropriatly well with the scenes ( at times), and you used the actual scenes from the trailers. The transition of music was a bit rusty but aceptable. The only problem I had were that it felt like it kept drawling on and on with no real end. Even though there were some perfectly good points to end the trailer, you still kept it going on, which would cause a bit of a bore.
Overall, good but generic.
@KINGkaijugojira no I was'nt asking you why you posted I was asking that avara person
That would be interesting. Although it may take some time to think about it.
What an insufferable insignificant insect. OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!!!!!
Well I feel the extended clip showed way too much and ruined as scene as I said in a thread I made earlier, but besides that 30 seconds or so I don't think there's been any overkill. I just wish they had used that 30 seconds up on something else rather than ruin the precursors to an emotionally invested scene.
Holy crap how did this happen???
Yes exactly. Gareth promised us the movie will be emotionaly demanding, yet the recently released 'Extended clip' showed us too much of the scene between Bryan and his wife. Sure it was short, but it's no going to be the same
Naw I think the mutos were inspired by the Starship Trooper hunter bugs
I'm with you, it's possible to get too much. It starts to worry me, and takes a lot of mystery out of it.
As we all know... TOHO liked bugs in thier G movies.. this movie is following tradition. I personally did not want to see a G movie with bugs in it.. because it has already been done. but bugs can be aggrivating and troublesome. They also can be numerous.. and blood thirsty. I feel this movie is gonna be beyond the exspectations that a lot of us have. I truly like the characters so far. I smell success and this movie I believe will silence the harsh critics in the movie industry. Its no longer just about monsters.. its about the whole thing involving monsters and people. This is exactly what Godzilla needed to survive in a hollywood setting. No campy crap.. no frenchy french secret service.. no nerdy worm guy.. or candy eating mayor... no trapping in a suspension bridge and shoot it to death with 6 harpoon missles.. well.. you get the jist. TO THE THEATER... AWAAAAY!!!!!!
I would try to stay true to the original. In design and character. Because I'm that kinda fan.
Perhaps they did it for the fans who missed the 1994 release, like m self. Plus the only Atomic Breath I have is the Spiral Atomic Ray from Fire Rodan (who was totaly worth it) and this one is coming out with the Atomic Breath effects from the Toho effect set only in a slightly darker color. If you look closely, you can see it's a little darker. I still think it's worth getting. And I don't think it replaced G2014. He's on his way. Most of the info we have now was shrouded in secret until recently. Like what Muto looks like. Though it's still fuzzy, we have a good aproximationg. Godzilla 2014 will make his way to the S.H. Monsterarts line eventually. The more Godzilla action figures, the better.
They are gills, and the fact that people still continue to deny that is just sad.
Eh....I understand it's technically a different, 'new' Godzilla figure.
But it looks 95% the same as other ones they've made. They picked this one because it would be cheaper to make than a new one. They have most of the molds, pieces, and effects parts in supply.
Sure, there will be SOME differences between this one and the Heisei figures we already have. But $70.00 worth of differences? I think not.
And if SH MonsterArts already had figures out for all the distinct suits and/or all of Godzilla's villians/sidekicks, then I wouldn't begrudge them for a nitpicky release like this one.
But that's not the case, there lots of Godzilla's they could have done instead which would have been a more substantial addition to any collection. And the notion that they are releasing this INSTEAD of G2014 (G2014 was originally supposed to come out this summer as far as I'm aware, and now it's not...while this 1994 thing is...so yeah I don't what else to make of it).....That trade....TOTALLY not worth it.
I highly doubt it. It's a reboot after all.
You know... I have never been to a dentist.
Damn I was away for sometime but I didn't know I would get so many replies :)
Haha that's pretty cute actually :-)
I have an alternate theory (admitted trolling commencing):
The Muto aren't dentists. They're fisherman.
Those claws have evolved for millions of years for one purpose: to catch Godzilla's.....
....by the GILLS. Like little fishing hooks.
This May, the Muto will reel in Godzilla......
.....by the GILLS!!!
I'm glad I saw this before I started a discussion on it! This is awesome!!!!!!!! Four good images to choose, too! Nothing too spoilery, although now we know Joe and Ford arive in the Q-Zone by boat to get into their abandoned home! I was wondering how they were going to pull that off!
Thanks for the images, Chris!
Actually that is a figure of Godzilla Junior as an adult. Remember at the end of Godzilla vs Destoroyah where we see the silhoute of Godzilla roaring in the distance and the only logical explanation is that Junior absorbed the radiation from his suragate father and was brought back to life as an adult. That's what the firgure is. I personally think it will make a nice edition to my collection, plus I missed the 1994 Godzilla from the S.H. Monsterarts line. The closest one I have to it is the Comic-Con explosion version. Back to the point. The new movie is a great oportunity (I think I spelled that wrong) for some merchandising. They will probably reveal it before 2015 otherwise it won't be special.
I think that they may have the original theme or a classic Godzilla theme during the credits. Maybe Godzilla will roar his classic roar we all know and love once in the end before the credits. But probably not.
Well I'd have to say I don't have a WHOLE Lot of feels for Godzilla film actors, I just don't feel like... and here I go, I'm ready for the hate... that any of them are fleshed out enough characters for me to worry about. It was particularly bad in the nineties films but got worse in some of the millenium movies, particularly Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla... I wouldn't have shed a tear if that entire cast had died in the film, I didn't care about any of them.
Gamera heisei characters on the other hand...
But if we are talking Toho, I'd say Rodan. Kenji Sahara and the general direction of that film in my opinion made it Toho's crowned jewel. Rodan is, still, in my opinion, a masterpiece of Tokusatsu and doesn't get the recognition it deserves. As a monster film, its top notch.
Its doubtful at best.
BUT, there is always a chance the japanese version will. Japan does have a habbit of occassionally going in with their dubs and changing music scores. They did so a little bit with transformers.
He has it! It was confirmed awhile ago, although it'll probably be used as a tool for survival rather than a casual weapon of mass destruction.
I have no doubt that this movie will have new, original music. Nearly every movie trailer/commercial uses music from another source not actually heard in the movie. Take the example from the many trailers of nearly any movie made in this modern day world.
As for whether or not it will have the classic G theme, if it does I will stand up and clap at the end of the movie!
I'm already too pumped for this movie, I can hardly get anything done! Please don't torture me with this thought! Too late. :(
Sigh sigh sighity sigh sigh.
Nope, they are just random flaps that are discolored on the side of his neck. Has nothing to do with the fact that he is an amphibious creature that lives under water most the time.
They're gills people, deal with it. There is like zero percent weakness in being able to breathe on land and in the water.
I thought this fricken conversation was OVER with a long time ago.
It's spelled: theories
However, it's really quite minor compared to most of the other typos and incorrectly spelled words that show up on this site and the internet generally, so I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. At least you did ask :-)
Personally, I'm disappointed that they announced the reveal of the 1994 Godzilla instead of G2014 or something else more unique. It looked like a money saving move, rather than trying to treat consumers right. And it implies that any G2014 figure in the works is likely behind schedule or had some kind of hiccup.
Given that the CEO strongly hinted at an upcoming G2014 figure in an interview last winter (I believe the interview was with Tohokingdom), as well as pictures leaking from the S.H. MonsterArts booth at the recent Toy Fair which had a "Coming Summer 2014" poster for Godzilla 2014, I think it's safe to say you're right, that they will be releasing a figure.
As far as when they might announce it/release pictures...a toy announcement with the movie makes sense...except that the poster said the figure was this summer. But typically, S.H. MonsterArts releases pictures of their figures 4-8 months or so in advance. So if they waited until May to release pictures, we might not see the figure until September or later, which would be A: Unfortunate and B: definitely not the summer like the poster at the booth said it would be.
To fit within the "Summer" timeframe they've already hinted at, assuming they release G2014 on the same timeline they've released other figures, they need to announce it soon. Like early this month soon....
However...
They already announced the 1994 figure. It's pretty lame, but I feel the 1994 announcement is a consolation/substitution for a G2014 announcement. They don't want their figures to compete with each other, so they usually don't announce the next one until the most recent one is close to/already has been released. And Godzilla 1994 is being released until July iirc.
Long Story Short (I hope I'm wrong) but I think SH MonsterArts Godzilla 2014 is going to happen, but it has been significantly delayed from previous hints and estimates. They might ANNOUNCE the figure when the DVD for Godzilla 2014 comes out. And we'll probably have to wait until 2015 to get our hands on it :-(
@Devianteist, Thanks man.
Theories is the spelling you're looking for, my friend.
As for this whole thing, I haven't seen hide nor claw of it, or heard anything related. My guess is that you are probably correct.
It's a shame no one's been giving this any attention after the first splash. This project was started specifically because of everyone here, and I'd appreciate it ever so much if someone would get word around. :(
I absolutely agree that they shouldn't have showed as much as they did. That being said, you have to make the general audience want to go see it. All those shots will not feel the same- the one where Brody is screaming down the hallway into nothingness as the radioactive cloud approaches him, the touching circle window scene- yes, they will not have the same effect as if we saw them for the first time.
However, we also have to think about the fact that we won't have much time to gather all the emotions as the power plant is literally melting down. The trailer already sets the sad tone so we're ready to grab all those extra emotions that we probably would have overlooked if the buildup by the trailers hadn't been set up. But I do agree, they should have shown less.
I was curious as to what monsters we'll be seeing in your fan movie.
We will see what they are when movie comes out :)
And just because there or overlapping things on his neck doesn't automaicly make them gills
I mean the famous rob said in a video that some of the things people say on this site tha not official is bullshit unless it's official
Now the whole gill thing is your assumption :)
