MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 8:08 AMI often wonder what it would be like to brainstorm about and create the original godzilla design and what my idea would be for godzilla. I mean just imagine if there was no godzilla movies or anything and you had to create him what would he look like, what animal would he be, what power would he have, stuff like that
Pleas state your ideas bellow
and no fighting

MemberTitanosaurusApr-08-2014 8:16 AMI would try to stay true to the original. In design and character. Because I'm that kinda fan.
\"SKREEONGK!\" -Godzilla

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 8:32 AMThat would be interesting. Although it may take some time to think about it.
Life is very simple, but we insist on making it complicated.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 9:17 AMThat's hard to say. I know that if the producers told me to design a giant sea monster, my first thoughts wouldn't be 'Exaggerated T-Rex'.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 9:44 AMProbably a rayquaza like creature, that would be nice....

GODZILLA HIMSELF
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 11:20 AMwasnt the idea behind the design like a chimera of different dinosaurs? i think it was a trexs head, body, and legs, with iguanadon arms and stegasurus plates. and then i think the tail and skin texture were supposed to be crocodillian in nature. now i must say that the origional failed at that, however that failure is what ended up giving godzilla his unique design and im personally very glad that it didnt look like what was intended, because what was intended, actually would look a lot like zilla unfortunatly. if i had been the one designing based on those criteria (and at that time) it probably would have looked like a cross of zilla and the originial 54 godzilla. i wonder how that would look.
king of the monsters

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 11:26 AMThe original idea was just 'giant sea monster'. Originally it was going to be a claymation octopus. They scrapped the idea because 'giant octopus' had already been done too often, and claymation took a lot longer than they expected.

MemberBaragonApr-10-2014 5:57 PMNot sure if I would have come up with the amphibious reptilian look, but the size and power of my own kaiju would probably be similiar to Godzilla.
On second thought, I don't think my design would have been any better. There is a reason why Godzilla's look has endured so long. It works. Don't change what is not broken.
