I hope that it is a much darker tone, and I hope that Godzilla resembles somewhat of what he is supposed to look like. No Iguana!!!

Thought that it was OK, I agree that the monster did not get long enough to have a decent battle. I would have liked more focus on the monsters and less on the people. I did however love seeing Godzilla beating Zilla. I hated the 98 american remake so it was good to see the King get some revenge.

I cant wait to get this one and I hope that the ending ends like the final wars version, the True King beating the heck out of the impostor. Long Live the Big G

They are not trying to make a version like the 54 so I think that they will have a mid credits or post credits scene that sets it up for the next movie. I think that they only think that only thing they are trying to mimic is the dark tone of the 54 version. Can't wait till 2014

I am pretty sure that they are going to include the Atomic Breath in the new film. The director said that he wants to make a movie that the fans of the original Japanese films would appreciate. Which means no lizard looking Godzilla and would have the atomic breath.

Godzilla look ! I was young like 4-5 when I saw my first godzilla movie. I was and still love dinosaurs so the idea of a giant t-rex looking dinosaur stomping on city was the coolest thing i had seen. My dad was a little bit of a fan so he introduced me to them. I think the first one i saw was the original Godzilla. Then I saw Godzilla 1984 which I like the look but the story line kind of stunk. I was hooked for life my cellphone cover is even the 90's Japanese version of the Big G

I think that it should be kept secret. I just hope that they keep the form true to the original Godzilla and not lizard like, like zilla 98. I also hope that the atomic breath returns as well.

I really enjoyed both films. I love how they originally had it look exactly like the G-Man but then it is revealed to be an impostor. Have either of you seen the 2000 series version of the film?

The cast is worthy. Please make this movie much better than previous ones. The original G movies where campy and corny but perfect for the Saturday matinee and for the year it was made. Appropriate. Please make this movie worthy of the actors efforts and worthy of our time and attention. My wife made me watch Godzilla 1998 for the purpose of supporting my Sci-fi interest. I couldn't sit through it because it was so off target on all levels. It was like Sex and The City got together and made a science fiction movie because it would be fun and easy. Making the impossible seem possible and believable. Suspension of disbelief. I do Love the cast and I do not blame them for taking a paycheck. ; )

I'm happy to wait until the Big G hits the big screen. I think we can be almost certain that Legendary will honour that fine tradition Chris. @kaiju-seeker glimpses & roars are all we need! I'm totally with you in regards to the element of surprise being taken away by spoiler filled trailers. Prometheus was shrouded in secrecy, then the trailers gave practically the whole story away!! :-(

I'm torn on the idea...I'm DYING to know what he looks like...but at the same time...I do like the bit of mystery. But at the same time I hate it lol...I WANNA KNOW WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE

So true though, I'm hoping they don't release any merchandise which could give away the look of the beast before it's time. As for your mention of glimpses, I totally agree with you there. I think keeping Godzilla's look a secret could be one of the more powerful tools that can use in the viral marketing campaign. Like you said, have a shadow cast across a skyscraper, or the roar in a teaser trailer, followed by screams, it could all be do very well and very effectively to draw in larger crowds of people next May. I'm with you, I want to see glimpses, and teases, but no outright photos of the full creature, they need to keep this under wraps for as long as they can. Plus it's fun to see artists speculate on their ideas of what the new Godzilla will look like.

I think it should be kept close to the chest. Too many times.. movies are ruined simply by revealing too many things about it before it even hits the theaters. In 98.. a zilla toy was prematurely released at a chain of K-mart stores 2 weeks before anyone knew what it looked like.. and it frankly looked stupid.. I know cause I bought it 2 weeks before the movie came out.. I still have the receipt and its still in the box. What I hope to see happen with Edward's version.. is a glimpse here and there.. a huge shadow cast against a sky scraper.. a roar from hell.. fire and death and gore and screaming.. well.. you get the idea. I am certain that Thomas Tull will not want to ruin this for everyone of us hardcore fans.

Gigan is pretty savage, but I gotta hand it to Space Godzilla. Dude has a crazy powerset.

I believe since it is a new godzilla series that they should add new monsters. However they should still involve the old ones in respect of the old sereise. Like king ghidora, Destroya, Space godzilla, and this may sound weird but I also think Mothera would also be a good choice to add because mothera has been an important character in the godzilla series. That is all.

I love the Battra larva. It looks very devil-ish to me

I always loved the 2nd design. I was never too big on the 1970's version, and The Gigan (the one with chainsaw hands) went a little overboard.

I'm curious: why are you so sure that Godzilla 2014 will end in a cliffhanger? I could see something appearing while the end credits are rolling but not sure about a cliffhanger. On the subject of cliffhangers - one of the greatest has to be in Gamera: Revenge of Irys whereby the movie ends with an army of Gyaos headed for Japan and an injured Gamera probably on his way to face them.

My favorite design is the Godzilla 2000.

I like the second one the best. The third was just too much.

I first saw Godzilla in Godzilla 2000. But i really became a fan just a few months ago. I have been watching all the movies. And have got to known more of the monsters.

I would like to see King ghidorah, Orga, and Gigan for sure. But I would love new monsters.

It was the first Godzilla i saw. And Orga is one of my favorite characters.

I love it. My only problem with the movie is the English dubbing, it's not [i]THAT[/i] God-awful or anything, but the voices didn't sound convincing to me, with TriStar handling the voice dubbing, especially after...what they did in '98...I'm pretty sure some lines in the movie are not like in the original version.

I want it to take place in Los Angeles. That would be SO cool.

I hope we don't get a repeat of the 1998 version
