Should Godzilla 2014 take place primarily in Japan or America?

With little known about the actual [b]Godzilla[/b] (2014) script, aside from the fact that it's going back to [i]Godzilla[/i]'s 1954 roots, many fans are asking - where will it take place? Seeing as it is an American reboot, it's logical to assume that we will see some American cities getting decimated by the tyrannic titan, but what about Japan? If Gareth Edwards is planning to stay true to [b]Godzilla[/b]'s roots, surely we'll see some Tokyo destruction as well!
