AdminSpaceGodzillaApr-05-2013 11:08 PMWith little known about the actual [b]Godzilla[/b] (2014) script, aside from the fact that it's going back to [i]Godzilla[/i]'s 1954 roots, many fans are asking - where will it take place? Seeing as it is an American reboot, it's logical to assume that we will see some American cities getting decimated by the tyrannic titan, but what about Japan? If Gareth Edwards is planning to stay true to [b]Godzilla[/b]'s roots, surely we'll see some Tokyo destruction as well!

The question for today is - which location should [b]Godzilla 2014[/b] take place on the most? Should the film be primarily set in Japan? Or should all the action take place in America?

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-06-2013 12:21 AMBy heart, I say it should primarily set in Japan. But it wouldn't hurt at all if the King of all Monsters attacks the states in one scene. In Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla attacked New York. Actually it would be hilarious to see Big G step on a King Kong inflatable or statue if one's around. But that's off topic.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-06-2013 10:54 AMI feel like if it was set in America the 1998 remake would pop into my head throughout the entire thing. However, I really don't mind where it is set so long as they carry out a great story.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-06-2013 12:40 PMI'm sure they will have it take place in the United States, although for the more imaginative Godzilla fans, we have seen our share of Americanized Godzilla portrayals including the 1998 remake (ad its cartoon spinoff), the 1970s Marvel Comics by Stan Lee, even the Hanna Barbara Cartoons , in a way I really hope it will take place in Japan, but I doubt it.
