Does Godzilla use solar energy?

Think about this. Godzilla absorbs radiation. The sun is full of radiation. So wouldn't it make sense for Godzilla to use solar energy? Godzilla could use his sails like panels. Solar energy could have a lot of uses for him. Dimetrodon, a prehistoric mammal-like reptile, used its large sail as a method to control its body temperature.

Godzilla could use his sails to control his temperature. Since Godzilla spends so much time in the ocean's dark depths, he could use his sails as a way to absorb extra heat raditation to warm up faster when he surfaces. There will be times where other sources of radiation would become scarce. Absorbing solar energy could help Godzilla avoid starvation for a time. And in combat, Godzilla could absorb solar energy to give him a helping hand in those intense fights. It makes sense. Why else would Godzilla have those enormous dorsal sails?godzilla

This is an interesting theory. Perhaps he does. I always assumed his scutes are like one of flat sponges my mom used to have. Hard and solid when out of water, but when wet like a real, flexible sponge. He need them to be flexible when in water and be used as a potential weapon or defense in combat :)

Remember that chap, I forget his name, he climbed Everest without any oxygen, came down nearly dead. They asked him, they said, "Why did you go up there to die?" He said, "I didn't, I went up there to live."

That's very interesting. Yes, I think you could be right.

It makes perfect sense. They've never said anything about that in the movies, but I suppose it could still possibly be true.
