In 2014 Legendary's Godzilla brought the King of the Monsters back from a 10 year hiatus. In 2016 Shin Godzilla solidified his popularity in Japan becoming the highest grossing, live action Japanese film of the last three years.
Godzilla's popularity is only growing in his homeland. Universal Studios Osaka, Japan will be showcasing a 4D Godzilla attraction. The interactive theater experience is joined by attractions based on other popular franchises such as Mobile Suit Gundam and Attack on Titan.
You can watch a trailer for Godzilla: The Real 4D which includes new footage of Godzilla below:
Based on the trailer's dates, Godzilla: The Real 4D experience will (at least) open in Universal, Osaka early 2017 and run through early summer. In the meantime the Godzilla franchise soldiers on with a new animated movie expected later this year from Polygon, a sequel to the 2014 film and a crossover movie with King Kong from Kong: Skull Island. And considering the success of Shin Godzilla it would be wise to assume Toho will bring more as well. For the time being Godzilla is here to stay.
