Finally, Hedorah is getting some more attention, it's interesting that they used the Final Wars designs. Can't wait to see it.

He's fighting Hedorah, so clearly he's going to use his atomic breath to fly like in the older film...

just imagine actually seeing that. you're walking down the sidewalk, enjoying the fresh air, when you hear the sound of what seems to be a lazer. then you look up.

it's a giant radioactive dino-lizard thing curled up like a shrimp firing a lazer beam from its mouth, flying backwards through the air.

looks to me like smog.

The 2004 Hedorah (which is the suit being used) has tubes spewing smog which is apparently just a trait in males.

I suppose since the Hedorah from the Showa series is in a different continuity, and I don't know of a source explicitly stating it as female, it's possible. The assumption has largely been that since it does not have the protruding tubes, and elongated appendage, ala Final Wars Hedorah, that it was female.

so its just a theory.

What specifically? It's certainly confirmed the Hedorah in Final Wars is a male.

Designer Shinji Nishikawa confirmed the inclusion of tubes as genitalia in the Godzilla Final Wars Super Complete Works. Godzilla Defense Force was the first English language source to confirm it.
