We have another look at the Monsterverse King Kong from the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong movie! Thanks to leaked images from a merchandising expo earlier this month, one of the banners on display gave us a better look at Kong's face from the upcoming film! As previously reported, Kong does sport a big beard in the new movie - an interesting design upgrade, but one that clearly signifies his aged appearance. The look also gives Kong more of a classic "King" aesthetic - setting up for the titular rivalry this November between him and Godzilla. The image below was snapped at an expo and some toy images can be seen in the lower corners, which could constitute a spoiler for some, so scroll down at your own discretion.
And yes - to answer the repeatedly encountered fan questions - Kong WILL be a lot bigger in Godzilla vs. Kong, to more closely match the size of Godzilla. A trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong has not yet been released, but footage of Godzilla and Kong fighting was captured and leaked from a Warner Brothers panel late last year. That footage alone also confirms Kong's increased size in the new film.
Godzilla vs. Kong will arrive in theaters on November 20th, 2020. More news to come!
