NECA Godzilla 2019 vs. Godzilla 2014 figure comparison

NECA Godzilla 2019 vs. Godzilla 2014 figure comparison

NECA have posted a bunch of comparison photos between their 2014 Godzilla figure and their new 2019 figure for Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters! Despite some fans thinking the new 2019 Godzilla figure is merely a re-sculpt of the 2014 figure with new dorsal spikes, NECA have confirmed that the sculpt is completely new - and in all fairness that's not hard to see. It's great to see NECA have improved this figure for the second film, check out the comparison shots below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Which figure do you prefer the look of?

Love the comparisons, but one quick question: Why is the tail on the 2019 one shorter than the tail of the 2014 one? It looks weird from a certain angle, and it's kind of bizarre. Other than that, they look awesome. Nice find.

I personally think the 2019 design looks better

Wow the spines make a huge difference. It almost makes me wonder how most fans gave the 2014 variation a pass. Very cool.

Yup, the spines really improve Godzilla's look for 2019, no question about that. And the bigger feet claws also helps make him look a little more balanced.

I love the new dorsal plates! Hope they grow to Godzilla2000 spines for Kong!

I guess I'm in the minority with this, but I like the previous design more.

Is just me or the teeth are longer in 2019´s version?

I've loved the spines, and said so, after seeing them in the very first trailer. '54, my favorite!

Moldovan0731 You're not alone. I'm also in the minority, although I feel like it was a pretty good try with the 2019 version. Basically, I like the 2014 version more, but I give them credit for trying for the 2019 version.

I prefer the 2014 figure (plate's shape).

But its plates could been a bit bigger (like 2019).

I never liked the plates on the 2014 design. Didn't look enough like Godzilla's spines.
