Would Legendary and Warner Brothers ever consider a stand-alone Mothra movie if they continue the Monsterverse? We certainly hope so!

Mothra's introduction dates back to 1961 when she debuted in her own stand alone film Mothra, produced and created by Toho. Toho produced a number of Mothra-only films in addition to her cross-overs with a number of Godzilla movies. She made her Monsterverse debut in Mike Dougherty's Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters but sacrificed herself to save Godzilla against his battle with Ghidorah. But, as we all know, Mothra is never truly gone.
New Godzilla fan art created by Fermi Studio has been making the rounds this week, showcasing a hypothetical stand-alone Mothra Monsterverse movie poster! After Godzilla vs. Kong, there are so many directions Legendary and WB could take the franchise but Mothra's prestige certainly makes her a prime candidate for a stand-alone entry.

Unused concept art for Adam Wingard's Godzilla vs. Kong teases the rebirth of Mothra as well, suggesting to us that she absolutely has potential for a return to the Monsterverse if Legendary and Warner Brothers manage to secure a new deal with Toho.

Would you get behind a hypothetical Mothra movie from Legendary and Warner Bros? If so, would you also like to see other Mothra-specific enemies like Battra introduced if they do? Let us know in the comments below!
