Concept artist Jared Krichevsky, the man who designed the Monsterverse Mechagodzilla has just shared artwork of his first pass st designing the APEX mecha! Evidently this first pass gave Mechagodzilla a bulkier appearance and a more bio-mechanical appearance overall - more closely reassembling Godzilla. We recently got a chance to speak with Jared about his work on Godzilla vs. Kong and his Mechagodzilla design, you can read that entire interview HERE if you haven't already!



In total Jared created 2 designs for Mechagodzilla, this one and the one which eventually went on to be featured in the movie. Here's what Krichevsky had to say to us about the design above and why the second design was the chosen:
