MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 1:37 PMEpic! The only thing that i want too see now is the atomic breath and that will suffice me until the movie!!!!!!!

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 1:43 PMHaving only learned of Bryan Cranston from this movie, and then binging on Breaking Bad and seeing him in his best role yet....the anguish that you hear in his voice.... Chills, man. Chills. If Gareth has successfully managed to create a movie that genuinely tugs at the heart strings, gives us characters that we care about, while at the same time giving us awesome monster mashing...this might be one hell of a great and rare movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 1:43 PMMy only fear is, though it seems like a lot of the story will be told through the humans (Which I'm not against, we need a story with dialogue and emotion), I'm hoping that Godzilla isn't made irrelevant and forced into a few destructive scenes and a 5 min battle with the Mutos while 80% of the film is human. This is still a Godzilla movie, we NEED Godzilla as the destructive and vengeful force of nature/kaiju killing anti-hero we all love. One thing I will admit the Zilla movie got right was, though it wasn't that good of a movie, they did a great job balancing the actors and Godzilla scenes. Emulate that, with the deep and dark emotional plot this one has, and you'll have a masterpiece that's literally begging for sequels.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 1:49 PMNot to be too critical, it's a great clip and I can't wait for the movie, but the water scene rolling into the city looks really bad to me. I hope the rest of the effects are not as bad as that one, such as everything being night scenes while it's raining. Hopefully they really put the work in to equal a transformers style movie.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 3:16 PMWhat does anyone think this scene is? Is this Hokmuto's arm.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 3:36 PMWhen Byran Cranston looks at the computer in the power station, the screen shows exactly the same as the screens behind the general/military leader where you can see both muto's.
Also when Bryan Cranston and Aaron Taylor Johnson are talking there seems to be a lot of newpapers. Is it possible Bryan Cranstons character went a little crazy after his wife died and tried to prove something attacked the station?

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 3:43 PM@dynamicpeanut
That was pretty much a given,(not being a sarcastic dick) but he even say in the trailer "you're hiding something, I'm not crazy" he knew that it wasnt an earthquake or any natural disaster watch all the trailers again and you'll see that your theory is very right but also is proven in the trailer. Good spot on the newspapers though i didnt notice them!

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 3:56 PMI thing I explained myself poorly. I mean more along the lines of giving everything up, even his son which causes the rift between them.
Some people have said that the muto's might feed off of radiation (which would explain the power station attack) but what if the three helicopters, with the one carrying something in the middle are carrying a radiation source (a nuclear bomb) and leading a muto to godzilla. Something happens and the bomb goes off, both muto and godzilla survive and start fighting, this is the shot above of godzilla and the muto. This then leads to the scene of the soldiers opening a bunker to a destroyed looking place, the bombed san fran.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 4:33 PMI messed with the Halo scene and here is what I came up with.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 5:43 PMHe's fighting the Muto! ^
THIS IS SO GREAT~

Gojira2K
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 5:49 PMYeah, it shows how big the Winged Muto is. And he is much cooler than the toys show. Especially shown in this picture.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 6:09 PMThe size of the MUTO standing above the train is definitely smaller than the MUTO that is fighting Godzilla.
I do hope they reconcile that via something in the plot, rather than just have the MUTO change sizes that drastically from shot to shot.
What I do really like, is how the MUTO, while being a similar size to Godzilla is a very different style of combatant. It will be really fun to see the two different types of opponents go at each other.
Sometimes, in fight scenes of any genre, if both battlers fight the same way, it can get stale. One of the many reasons why Batman vs Liam Neeson fight scenes were was less memorable than Batman vs Joker or Bane scenes in the Nolan movies, just as an example.
Godzilla vs Muto is shaping up have those dynamic stylistic differences in how they fight which should make it very fun to watch.
But watch out G-Fans!!!! I looks like the Muto has spotted Godzilla's weakness and is biting after his gills!!!! Trolololol :-)

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 6:47 PMThe cloud in the power plant looks very similar to the cloud that hits the soldiers outside the train tunnel. Coud the muto have it's own biological weapon, like how Godzilla has atomic breath? If so, would it help level the playing field against Godzilla?
"The size of the MUTO standing above the train is definitely smaller than the MUTO that is fighting Godzilla.

Most likely. People have already been speculating that the Muto metamorphosises through the film. Change of size would be the "easier" part of that.

matt1898
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 6:58 PM@Barudarrowi.. It also looks like the cloud is an EMP of sorts, it blows out the flashlights on their guns. That would also fit with why the jets are falling out of the sky. No power.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 7:00 PMIn response to Gojira2k's theory, I must agree that this:

Is Hokmuto's arm. Well, a Muto. What I am to guess is that this is directly after
The background is so extremely similar, and it looks like the circle of sunken concrete is also in both. Just a thought.

Gojira2K
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 7:07 PMIn the first picture it shows the shockwave the arm produces with the red glow.

Godzillatheking123
MemberBaragonApr-05-2014 7:23 PMWell I can see the red banding of the MUTO in one of the clips, so I guess that confirms they do have a sort of "eye".
The only question now is whether these MUTO go through certain lift stages and evolve...

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-05-2014 7:23 PMGojira2k, my thoughts exactly.

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-06-2014 10:33 AMIt does sound great.

JetJagaSushiMan
MemberMothra LarvaeApr-08-2014 11:06 AMAh never mind, it's not a song from the Godzilla soundtrack, it's by an ambient band called Stars of the Lid. I knew this band before I heard the song, but I had allmost forgotten about it. It's weird how they don't use original music in the trailers.....but it is a sign of really good taste from the creators of this film, this music isn't for everyone.
