The next Kong sequel is quietly picking up steam behind the scenes! Village Roadshow Studios have begun set construction for the next Monsterverse film and casting auditions have reportedly started taking place as well through Gold Coast agencies! Previously it was announced that actor Dan Stevens had landed a lead role in the picture.
The next film, being a sequel to Adam Wingard's Godzilla vs. Kong will continue the Kong story arc, giving the King of Monsters a break while the King of Hollow Earth takes center stage. Adam Wingard is expected to reprise his role as director for the film, with a Son of Kong title continuing to float around as a potential moniker / working title. However concrete title and plot details have yet to be revealed officially.
Filming on the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel is expected to begin soon while production on the upcoming Monsterverse TV series is set to kick off this week!
