Two new summaries for the upcoming Monsterverse film Godzilla vs. Kong have been released. The new summaries originate from the official Godzilla vs. Kong IMDb page. While the summaries are brief, they offer a lot of insight into the upcoming Titan throwdown. The first summary states:
As the gigantic Kong meets the unstoppable Godzilla, the world watches to see which one of them will become King of the Monsters.
It has been long rumored (and fairly obvious) that Godzilla and Kong would be completing to be the alpha of the Titans. However, it's interesting to see that the actual title of "King of the Monsters" is being used. The latter summary is longer and offers even more insight into the film.
In a new world where man and monster now coexist, Monarch must lead the way to a prosperous future alongside the Titans, keeping humanity in check. However, rival factions that want to manipulate the Titans for war begin to rise under the guise of a nefarious conspiracy, threatening to wipe out all life on the planet. Meanwhile on Skull Island, strange seismic activity draws the attention of Godzilla and Kong alike.
There's a ton of exciting new information packed within this summary. Some of it we'll cover in upcoming articles, however, there is one exceptionally interesting topic that we'll mention here. And that is the fact that Godzilla and Kong are both being alerted, and perhaps even lured, to seismic activity on Skull Island.
Maybe this is the reason why the Titans first meet in the film? Or perhaps it could involve the "mechanized giant" from the Godzilla: King of the Monsters" post credit sequence? Regardless of what implications it has for the Monsterverse, Scified will keep you updated with all things related to Godzilla vs. Kong as soon as they are announced.
