Earlier today new footage of the anime movie Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters was leaked on Twitter. The footage was cut with segments of leading voice talents Mamoru Miyano (Setsuna F. Seiei from Mobile Suit Gundam 00) and Kana Hanazawa (Your name.).
Now Polygon Pictures and Toho Animation has released a new trailer with similar footage and an epic new poster. The new trailer gives us a brief glimpse at Godzilla's initial attack as well "Earth Returnists", led by Haruo Sakaki, launching a counter-offensive at the massive Monster King:

Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters stars the voice talents of Mamoru Miyano (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Ultraman Zero: The Movie), Takahiro Sakurai (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans), Kana Hanazawa (.hack//Quantum), Yuki Kaji (Attack on Titan), Tomokazu Sugita (Attack on Titan), Junichi Suwabe (Space Dandy), Kenta Miyake (Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn), Kenyu Horiuchi (Bleach, One Piece), Kazuhiro Yamaji (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children) and Kazuya Nakai (Dragon Ball Super). The film is directed by Kobun Shizuno & Hiroyuki Seshita (Knights of Sidonia) from a screenplay by Gen Urobuchi (Kamen Rider Gaim). The film will open in Japanese theaters, November 17th, 2017. Sometime after its theatrical release it will drop on Netflix world wide.
