After 61 years, the King of the Monsters has been made an official resident of Tokyo! And along with that, he has become an Ambassador of the Central Tokyo District!
He has also achieved his own statue in Shinjuku, Central Tokyo. When the statue first opened, Godzilla breathed smoke among lights and glowing eyes. As the Tourist Ambassador, the King has a lot of work to do, well actually, he kind of just sits there, well, sitting is a lot of work for Godzilla!
This is outstanding news for Godzilla fans, and especially fans in Tokyo! But about the Godzilla hotel, from what I have seen, I would feel a sense of both excitement and fear, I may have to check-out early.
Also, big thanks to member KingKaijuGojira for giving the heads up about this great news!
