[Godzilla Day] Mondo's Godzilla 2000 LP, King Ghidorah Mug and More!

Mondo isn't letting Godzilla out of their sight. They've announced an expansion of their Godzilla license and will drop their Godzilla Day collection tomorrow! The new items include an Urban Aztec Heat Ray Ver. Godzilla, a MechaGodzilla Vinyl Designer figure and a Tri-Colored Terror Variant of the previously sold out King Ghidorah Tiki Mug. (This variant is based off of the "blue" King Ghidorah on the original 1964 poster of Ghidorah: The Three Headed Monster.)

In addition to the new collectibles, two new vinyl records will be up for pre-order as well! Composer Takayuki Hattori's first two Godzilla forays will finally be released in the U.S. Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla (1994) and Godzilla 2000 (1999).

Godzilla 2000 is pressed on 140 Gram "Blast Bomb" vinyl and 140 Gram Eco Vinyl. It's estimated to ship November 2023. Meanwhile, Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla is pressed on exclusive 140 Color Vinyl and is also available on 2x 140 Gram Eco Vinyl. Estimated shipping date is December 2023. Each will cost $45.

The items will be available for pre-order at 1:00PM EST on November 3rd, 2023, Godzilla Day!

This Godzilla Day, in addition to the CG short film, Godzilla vs. Megalon, another short film (Fest Godzilla 4: Operation Jet Jaguar) will be produced by director Kazuhiro Nakagawa. Nakagawa directed the tokusatsu shorts for the last three years, Godzilla Appears at G-Fest (2020), the Godzilla vs. Hedorah short and Fest Godzilla 3: Gigan Attacks. Nakagawa also directed episodes of Ultraman Z and the current series, Ultraman Decker.

This year's festival will also include the debut of a Jet Jaguar suit replica. Slated to show up in Nakagawa's short, the new suit was built by Shinchi Wakasa, the suit designer for the Millennium series Godzilla suits (sans "GMK") and popular Heisei series villains such as Destoroyah, SpaceGodzilla, MechaGodzilla, Rodan and last year's Gigan replica suit.
