Godzilla: Galaxy Odyssey - the new Godzilla Manga has hit shelves in Japan and details on the comic's new monster have been revealed! Fans here in North America have begun translating the text to English and pictures of the new space monster, officially named Volga, have been making their way online. Users on Reddit have shared some translations, offering information about Volga:

-
New kaiju seems to be called “Volga”
-
Godzilla is 100m tall and 55,000 tons, created during nuclear testing in 1954.
-
Volga doesn’t seem to be biological, the military has some kind of missile (called “Anti Giant Biological Missile, or AGBM) that can’t detect Volga
-
The time between the present events of the manga and Godzillas first landfall appear to be 8 years (the first landfall could just be the main characters first experience with Godzilla)

In addition to the photos and information on Volga, we also have another look at the new Godzilla design variant for Galaxy Odyssey:

Godzilla Galaxy Odyssey became available on May 27th in Japan. You can read the first 2 chapters for free online now on the Young Champion Web website.
