Godzilla Day is approaching - as is the King of Monsters' 71st anniversary and Toho are planning a big birthday party! Collaborating with Toho, AlamoMart will be offering some exciting exclusives - beginning on October 27th, a first-ever Godzilla popcorn bucket as well as shirts, mugs, and other merchandise will be available to purchase via the AlamoMart x Godzilla Page! Not only that, on November 3rd, a special screening of 1984’s The Return of Godzilla will be held as well!
As our friends at Kaiju United pointed out:
...it appears that this first bucket will be the MosuGoji suit, featured predominately in 1964’s Mothra vs. Godzilla, and remains a fan-favorite design for the King of the Monsters. Fans will want to pay attention, though, as it will be the first of a line of several more popcorn buckets planned to continue into 2026 and beyond.
The Godzilla Popcorn Buckets will be limited to 6,000 units, making them a highly sought-after collectable.
We’re thrilled to be partnering with Toho International on this exclusive Godzilla Day celebration and first-of-its-kind merchandise collection,” said Chaya Rosenthal, Chief Marketing Officer at Alamo Drafthouse. “We know Alamo Drafthouse fans are Godzilla fans, and they’re going to lose their minds over these collectibles – from the Mothra Mug to the very first Godzilla-shaped popcorn bucket. As a lifelong Godzilla fan myself, I already have a spot saved in my display case for these incredible pieces. We couldn’t be more excited to share our love of all things kaiju and Godzilla at our Valley Fair theater and at all Alamo Drafthouse locations nationwide. - AlamoMart
Godzilla will officially turn 71 on November 3rd, 2025. As we approach that date, expect more exciting news and collaborations to be announced!
