The updated design of Godzilla looks so cool.

Dorsal spines and Atomic Breath are big improvements from 2014. Really hyped for Rodan too.

Can I get a second pair of eyes to confirm that tubby's spines are bigger and/or redesigned a bit? That's one adjustment I thought would really improve the design and it looks like a shade of Millennium Godzilla spines made it in there.

When nobody understands that his chest his puffed out cause he is exhaling lol. He isn't tubby.

I think you're right Gman. I did some tinkering to the image with what I could atm and it definitely seems like they're bigger.

Yeah, I've seen some blown up high-res photos just now and it appears there's some MireGoji added into tub's back plates. Good call.

I also dig the spiral around the beam.

Can't wait for the marketing and merchandise for this film. Especially the toy models of that design. Hope it doesn't disappoint. (Nobody jinx it or quote me on this.)

Hope Rodan and Ghidorah survive this. I was scared Dougherty might mess up Godzilla's bottom jaw like shin but the breath looks good so far. DON'T MESS WITH HIS MOUTH IT'S PERFECT! Nice dorsal plates!

Exactly. Hell I do not mind Dougherty borrowing from Shin, it's the highest form of flattery and Godzilla looks badass in this pose. This alone has convinced me the movie will at least look good, which is fair since it's the same cinematographer. Definitely a bit of a tub, but let's be honest, Shin is THICC.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Rodan will be portrayed.

But judging by the stormy background, that begs the question: Does he get more powerful with more electricity? In other words, does electricity enhance his own abilities? And on that note, has he gained more since the last time we saw him? So many questions, yet so much more anticipation and excitement. Let's just wait and see.

Holy Shit! It's better than last time. It's back. Godzilla has a proper Atomic Breath again! No more thin lasers like in Shin and the anime. Furthermore this doesn't look like the weak blast from 2014. This is a full powered blast. I can't wait to see this in battle! I love it! I love that the spines are bigger! I just hope the eyes and teeth are bigger too. But thankfully Godzilla's signature weapon has been given justice. The King has returned!

Well I like the small changes they made. Would have been nice to slim him down a bit but overall an improvement. So excited for the upcoming comic con.

His stomach is being puffed out from his beam. It isn't his actual size lol, why does nobody recognize this.

also, his head is looking straight up, so that might make his belly look bigger than 2014. if anything his stomach is the same as 2014.
