This is awesome! Thanks for posting this up! Also, thanks @True American Godzilla, thanks for posting keyboard shortcuts!
FINALLY! someone remembers marvels godzilla!
it would be a bit dumb to try and make godzilla belivable, it just doesn't work. whats smarter, and what i thinck they are doing, would be to make the human reaction and response realistic.
I agree with Duratok; this is a reboot. So this Goji is going to be different, yet similar to the past Godzilla's. He may not have Regenerator G1, but he is going to be very strong, and tough!
If you want to know how much Godzilla weighs in Godzilla Final Wars he weighs 55,000 tons which is 110,000,000 pounds.
You guys need to keep in mind that this isn't the old Godzilla universe. The director said that he wanted this Godzilla to be believable. That might include it not being indestructible.
Even when I don't think the movie is going to leave USA, more than to a quick explanation of the sinkholes; but who knows ^^

The middle one is fan art.
What is it you're looking for exactly? I think I need a hint.
Maybe, but Godzilla never really get's hurt to that extent. He has regenerator G-1 in his DNA wich make him heal at a remarkable rate, making him indistructible.
i agree that the monsters should be scary and i think hedorah should get a more scaryer design
damn zillahater got it right
@SHAZOtHEHEDGEHOG: I do remember that actually! I actually looked her up to ee her height (5', 5") to have memorized in case I do see that scene.
@TRUE AMERICAN GODZILLA
Remember the interview with Sally Hawkins saying she gets a glimpse of his eye before she dies?
Who ever said godzilla is gay can have angry but sex with the devil
Now it might be possible to have a Legendary Pictures version of a Pacific Rim Monster or Giant Robot to be the next best thing.
Thanks for pointing this website out, it's fun!
@YOKOSHAI: After your suggestion I tried out various stuff as well.
G = Atomic Breath
M = Mothera
K = King Ghidorah
(?) = Angle Atomic Breath up
I've tried to 'attack' King Ghidorah as he flies over head, but this is not as easy as it sounds.
@INSTINCTIVEGIGAN: I'm with you, I want to see that airport scene. From the descriptions, it sounds like the foot is about the size of a plane (the debate is what kind of plane). Now if I can see the scene, then I should be able to get a size estimation (as we don't have an official full body shot standing upright, only fan-made ones).
Of course, I'm also waiting for one of the main characters to be at a window with Godzilla's eye right outside that window. That would also help in size estimation (form eye to head size, and from there to the rest of the body).
I completely agree with the OP, and I've stated basically the same thing in a few different posts. This new franchise is going to be alot more realistic and mature than any of the Toho series ever were, and those old fan favorite kaijus wouldn't fit at all. Also throw in the fact that, as much as these characters were (and are) popular with the hardcore fans, the general movie-going public would see them as silly, and it would invite comparisons between the new franchise and the old Toho classics, which would be a problem for Legendary, in terms of marketing the new franchise...
@ZILLAHATER: What I ment to say was that I thought it would take the Flying Muto to do the damage to Godzilla (as my theory is that it's a Queen Muto). However the Winged Muto is in a different toy set. The toy set that has the damaged Godzilla has a non-winged 8 legged Muto!
I checled ot put myself and it's pretty interesting to try random stuff on the keyboard and see what happens
CODE: 13.20.21.15 = M.U.T.O (alphabet count)
Typing in Monster gets you: (Alert) The unidentified natural phenomenon is approaching your area. (Pl)ease prepare accordingly.
Could this refer to Godzilla or one of the other creatures? If Godzilla is the "unidentified natural phenomenon" then could the other creatures be Mutations of Unknown Terrestrial Origin (M.U.T.O)?
TRUE AMERICAN GODZILLA#
If the Muto couldnt hurt Godzilla and put up a fight, why would they even be here? That would be pretty boring.
Oh yeah there we go. Thanks!
Guys I made a slight mistake, it was at 1:51 and 1:56, and maybe anguirus can be in the movie as a mutated hedgehog, or the muto organisation may have noticed that the number of the muto monsters are too many for godzilla alone so they mutated a hedgehog by themselves, who knows! But so far nothing has been hinting him except this roar...
Gave it a better link. Can you see it now?
I cant see the zilla pic -__-
If they released the footage of Godzilla's attack on Muto at the airport that they showed at Comic Con we would be far more clear on his height. Hopefully we get pics of the action figures so we can at least compare Godzilla to the other monsters.
No.
For Pacific Rim too crossover with Godzilla means we will need two Godzilla series going. The new 2014 Godzilla or even the TOHO Godzilla and Pacific Rim couldnt crossover. They would have to re-introduce Godzilla in the Pacific Rim universe.
Let me start out by saying that i loath Hedorah...
But if done correct, it could become quite a sight. Something along the lines of the blob. Giant, terrifiying, and silent.
Also, what do you mean by;
"I mean, I saw footage of the NEW megalon and I think that's VERY UGLY!" What new Megalon?
I been trying to get this point accross myself. In the trailer as well, when the halo jumper is just reaching the top of the 555 building. Gozilla's head is straight away about 2 blocks or further away. My eyes sure don't decieve me. And yes, you bring up a good point with the posters. The jumper is a speck of dirt next to Godzillas spine. So what does that tell us?? Between 750 and 800 feet. If i'm wrong then i'm wrong. But until i hear it from LP/WB or Gareth Edwards , that's what i'll go with.
"Toho as a company has not engaged in any kind of creative or executive decisions.."
"Toho was only ever involved as far as to ensure that Godzilla looked like Godzilla and that he didn't turn out to be another iguana"
Some might call that a creative AND executive decision :)
Actually I think everyone is forgetting something, Heisei Godzilla was NOT the tallest incarnation of Godzilla, the tallest one was, and I know I'm gonna get crap for this, the Marvel Godzilla who stood at a whooping 150 meters, or 498 feet, as in comic it was compared in size to the Space Needle, Hoover Dam and the Golden Gate Bridge, though the marvel website states otherwise for reasons unknown, though I don't trust it as they say hulk can only lift 90 tons when calm.
@FREEZE!>
Fucking LOVE "Dune".
HOLY SHIT! I TEARS ARE GOING TO COME....
