bcrockett i see that as a challenge lol
AKAGI Maybe the members of Warner Bros. that took it down probably thought it was a scene from the movie or trailer so they took it down.
Get what I mean? Maybe they havent seen the movie and stuff but idk im probably wrong
I will do my best to share about Godzilla 2014 and also see it in the moves; perhaps more than twice. I will most definitely buy the Blue Ray DVD. I've already mentioned it on Facebook, but now that I see a trailer, I will share it on Facebook, Twitter and any place where I can. I will step up my game for the King!!!
Pfft, I've put even more effort into tricking people than these people have with us.
With an adobe program, this could easily be replicated.
No, Im going to see Spiderman and Xmen. In May. lmao Not nearly as much as I'm going to watch Godzilla in theaters, but Imma still watch both.
Why would someone put so much effort just to trick people?
None-- because they are Godzilla movies and if they aren't a godzilla fan already, they probably wont become one.
Its something you almost have to get into as a child-- as harsh as that sounds. I'm not saying its impossible, but yeah.
I'd say the best way to get a person into Tokusatsu would be avoid Godzilla movies all together and for god's sake, don't show them Godzilla vs The Thing (Easily the most overrated Godzilla film of all time).
Go straight for the Gamera trilogy, then slap them with some Garo, then ease them into Godzilla via final wars and GMK. I choose final wars not because its a good movie but because it is the most stylistic of Godzilla films and it would appeal to weaboos and otaku, if just for its rediculousness.
Finally, go into the entire situation with a "I don't give a shit" attitude. Don't go and over explain how Godzilla is a metaphor for nuclear holocaust or any justifications like that-- they aren't going to get it, Godzilla isn't a metaphor for anything, godzilla is a franchise. Be a man, admit you like dudes in rubber suits fighting and make no excuses for it, if the person is cool-- they'll understand what you mean and not give you shit for it.
Gojira
Godzilla (1984)
Godzilla against MechaGodzilla
Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack
Godzilla vs. Mothra (60s one)
I tend to recommend the more serious ones, because the person I'm recommending Godzilla feel that Godzilla might be too campy for them. I've also told them that they may want to wait for Godzilla (2014) and then show them the trailers. They're usually like "Holy shit, that's awesome! We gotta go see that!"
The key reason they probably made them take it down was because it featured a used clip from the movie?
That is the most I can assume, or that they themselves were assuming it was a piece of concept work that they didn't know about that had leaked. There is all sorts of reasons why-- they could have been just as in the dark about its authenticity as well-- it happens.
That is my best guess.
Atree03, that's what is bugging me about this as well. At first I thought they were fake, the sounds in the clips made it seem very shitty.. but then WB takes them down.
Maybe WB didn't like the fake trailer clips and they're like "to hell with this shit. let's take it down."
Shouldve taken a picture thatd be cool lol or only if u couldve
Lets be adults about this.
If you were tricked, laugh it off and call it a day.
If you weren't, laught it off and call it a day.
This is why I wasn't looking forward to a trailer on the 14th-- I just didn't expect it, instead I'm looking forward to Toy Fair, which will almost more than likely reveal something-- maybe.
Why would Legendary and Warner bros. ask them to be taken down if they were fake?
It's not us DOGGIEZILLA, it's the guy who made it who recently confirmed that he created it.
I don't have the link, but the other forum about this topic does have a link to a full confession. Both of those clips are falsified and fake, created as "a joke" by some other G-fans. Or trolls, whichever you want to call them.
But yes, it's now confirmed that those clips were fake.
JUNKERDE Yep i guessed correctly, cuz theres no other reason why someone would really do such hard work on these fakees, unless for fun, but that seems too small you know, so of course they were testing this website, and the test was passed
I will show them 1954 Godzilla and if they are intrested, show them Godzilla 2000.
from the dude on reddit who made the hoax (an extremely good one at that):
"i made this, i made all of it from the "mobile game" stills to the 2 "leaked" 3/4 second trailers, and pretended to be part of the crowd that thought it was real. yeah ill understand if you are mad at me, but it was for the greater good of showing how bad godzilla-movies is at background checking"
so dragonlord you're pretty much right about him testing this website
i find it hilarious, this guy will go down in history as the biggest troll to set foot in the godzilla community
They did this because theyd knew we and Chris wouldve fell for it and that Chris would've posted them as news, which he did, so that later on it would be revealed that they were fake the entire time so that THIS WEBSITE would not get any more attraction due to making it look like we post fake news.
I'm not surprised, and ik much of you are gonna be pissed off or hate me for saying this, which i dont give a shit cuz this website and it's members are already screwed up; but what they did I kinda liked and approved.
Im not 100%, but I do believe the main purpose of this trolling was to test if Chris would still post these as news without checking for a reliable source. Cuz if i did this fake video and picture, thats exactly what I wouldve done, i wouldve photoshopped a very real looking picture and create a very real looking video so I can test if this website would fall for it.
These trolls proved that this website should kind of be a "must stay away" website that post fake news. And you heard me, I like and approve what they did, cuz they proved correctly that this website isnt reliable.
Its not that they consumed my mind, its that im just starting agree myself to not have any hope for this website anymore. Dramatic members, unreliable sources, and trolls that try to prove this website's not good, which I believe they almost got there or they probably did. So go ahead members of this website, hate me for what I said, i dont care anymore, ill still go on this website and have all the hate that i can ignore, I just expressed my personnal opinion about this website thats all.
i dont know what to get thats why
I have no problem whatsoever with fantasy battles, I'm just saying that we should be doing them with characters we actually know a damn thing about. And isn't just as much, if not more, of a waste of everyone's time to complain about people complaining about fantasy battles?
I'm just going to ignore rule #1, since I don't think the American Godzilla himself will be realistic, just the human reaction to the events of the film.
This is basically my idea of what the winged Muto in the film will be like, and is based on the assumption that it won't be related to the eight-legged Mutos at all (I just can't see any form of those monsters fighting like a bear or Komodo dragon, regardless of their size).
This monster looks something like the Keese from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in that it would be a bat monster with a hook like stinger on the end of a long, prehensile tail. When on the ground, it stands upright rather than on all fours, like Rodan, and stands just a little shorter than Godzilla. Like Otachi (the flying monster in Pacific Rim), it folds its wings almost completely into its arms when not flying so that you can hardly even tell that it has any. When in this standing posture, it really looks closer to a bear than a bat due to having very stocky features, like Godzilla himself. When it takes flight, however, it unfolds it's wings to an absolutely massive size, as in, its wingspan should be at least three times its height, and then jumps off the ground and powerfully beats its wings simultaneously, causing it to quickly take off at almost full speed.
A list of the monster's abilities and characteristics:
-Very resilient hide that is immune to conventional weaponry, but not nearly as resilient as Godzilla's scales and giving very little resistance to his Atomic Breath.
-Flight at Mach 3.
-A mutated form of echolocation that sends out soundwaves that travel and bounce back at supersonic speeds, so that it can still be useful when it is flying faster than sound.
-Claws hard and sharp enough to pierce Godzilla's hide at high velocities (e.g. when flying).
-Stinger on tail that injects a paralyzing venom into an opponent's bloodstream even if it doesn't pierce their skin.
-WEAKNESS: Eyes are very sensitive to light, enough that something very bright (such as Atomic Breath) shining very close to its face could blind it permanently. Luckily, though, its above-mentioned super echolocation would mostly make up for this... except that anything that isn't a solid object, like say, the light emanating from Godzilla's dorsal plates as he charges his Atomic Breath, would be invisible to him (hint hint).
yeah i thought akira takarada was the last person alive that was involved with GOJIRA 1954
That is really neat! I wouldn't think that the suit actor for the original film would even be alive today, but it is cool that you met him.
Now I'm just reloading the page to see what else is happening.
I don't blame anyone for believing this. It's very well put out and executed in a manner that makes it quite convincing. The picture alone could be made with a program as free as GIMP and even Paint.NET, if done right.
I won't be the least bit surprised if we find out that it was in fact 100% false.
Some people want to be the bringers of the next revelation so badly that it's just sad. I said it before when Chris made his big post about the newest gaggle of news, a lot of which I still believe to be a load of bs, and I'll say it again.
Chris should double check his sources and the validity of the information they acquire instead of just blindly trusting what they have to say. Not to say that's exactly what he's doing, but still, it would be a good move on his part to be more suspicious of his sources, regardless of how well he knows them.
if its true, i dont think the blame falls on chris, those looked pretty darn convincing
dang man, to cool, just toooooooo cooooool
If you don't like the idea of putting together fantasy battles then don't bother commenting kid. It's a waste of your time and mine for you to go around saying "this annoys me."
i have actually had luck every time with Gojira, ive also had luck with 1985, gmk, and g2000
so you go to a godzilla fan site, to ask wether you should buy shoes, or godzilla merchanndise? i think the answers will be pretty predictable, LOL
this troll planned it well, to add insult to injury, he made this video with our drought of marketing, but at the same time I personally think it was well done and funny
This news absolutely sickens me...
i cant even... wow. just wow. dont even know what to say
I'm so bloody sick of this fake crap I can't even put it into words. Is it really that important to the loosers out there that they go to all the trouble to trick us... OVER A MOVIE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I love Godzilla and the art of film making. Both are two of my greatest passions. But in the end, its a movie. The fact that there are people out there that go to incredible measures to hoax people is just sad. What's the payoff? When it comes to movies these days, you are more likely to find information that is a rumor or simply a lie than to get legitimate information. Its simply the state of the industry today. It seems that this movie has been an absolute magnate for trolls, and it astonishes me how far these people will go to get our hopes up. Almost every day an argument breaks out over the legitimacy of a claim, and its draining the fun of being excited for this movie right out of me.
That said, this whole situation with this story seems fishy to me. I'm sure Chris is doing what he can to figure out what is going on and will let us know as soon as he can. If this turns out to be completely fake, I'll be disapointed on many different levels.
well i guess march it is then for a new teaser trailer
This guy admits to making the video.
Also, I just remembered that I introduced my friends to Godzilla by having them watch Godzilla vs. Mothra and they reacted quite well to it.
