Seriously, GINO was the very first monster movie I ever saw (when I was two years old!) and the film that sparked a life-long love for Godzilla as well as dinosaurs and monster movies in general, and I still hate it. That really says something about how bad it is.

I could definitly see that working. In the last few decades it seems Godzilla does not hold up too well when his internal organs are damaged. Maybe contaminating the water he's in, or somehow making him ingest something that goes to work on his organs could do the trick.

If Godzilla was the only monster attacking Earth I think humanity could possibly survive. If it's a world like Destroy All Monsters or Final Wars.... I think we'd just cease to exist eventually lol

You guys know what this game is right? It's bassicly candy crush or bejewled but with Godzilla animations and sound. Not impressed. Also why is it  called Smash3?

I think Hedorah would be an interesting monster to see. Similar to Godzilla it comes with a humans vs nature story, and out of all the monsters IMO its one of the darker and scarier looking creatures. I think they could it make it fit into a realistic scenario.

Varan would also be a cool addition since he's rarely been in the films. They could really play around with him without having to make it stay strictly true to a source.

I think it's the NECA figure before the made it more poseable but I could be wrong.

@pm8rsh- Yes he does have gills. Legendary is going for a more realistic Godzilla here, so you saw correctly.

@Huey1N- I think it is a good detail to add. Godzilla having gills (as well as lungs obviously) makes this whole story more realistic because then Godzilla would have to come up for air every once in a while, and the humans would know about him. Plus, no animal, especially as big as Godzilla, can hold its breath for years at a time.

A huge amount of money would be dumped into trying to stop the creatures. Nothing is unstoppable in the real world. It might be highly resistant, but in nukes don't work I can see biological warfare coming in very heavily. Maybe similar to the monster island concept in destroy all monsters, find something the monster don't and surround cities with it. it might not necessarily hurt them, but drive them away.

The neca figures are almost 100 percent accurate from what we have seen in the trailers. Plus the jakks figure has smaller spikes made of rubber for safety reasons.

Well if i recall there was a part in the trailer with a russian nuclear container that had goo on it. My guess is that the mutos have been drawn to nuclear energy and drained it from various places around the world, and the janjira incident is just part of a bigger conspiracy

I highly doubt nuclear weapons would draw in Kaiju. The thing is, they're extremely well-shielded for safety reasons. The pople who work around them don't want to get cancer, after all, so the warheads are surrounded with lead and other heavy metals to prevent leakage. They're better-shielded than most nuclear reactors. In short, regardless of how the kaiju 'sense' the radiation, they won't be able to see it. Not there. Now, nuclear engines? Like what you'd find on a submarine or American aircraft carrier? Those would light up like the Fourth on any sort of geiger counter or biological equivalent.

So I guess it means that EVERYTHING near water would probably be abandoned? I wonder if this would force Godzilla to move more inland. Making a new home in a lake in China maybe? Other monsters like Ghidorah would force EVERYWHERE to have a military unit nearby.

If they are attracted to nuclear arms US would be the country most in danger, however Russia would be a close second not that any scenes have shown Russia, so I guess it's going to be mostly the US with some attacks on Japan.

It would depend on how powerful they are. If it's wistand a nuke, completely unstoppable Godzilla, then yeah there's some big changes that are going to happen. The world would most likely have a reverse nuclear arms race, trying to get rid of nukes as quickly as possible so they don't attract Godzilla. If Godzilla decides to terrorize a single country then it would most likely be abandonded. Could you imagine Godzilla rampaging in a ghost city? No screams, no artillary, just him.

He has gills because Godzilla was originally conceived as "The missing link between land and sea dwelling reptiles." He has gills, but he obviously carries lungs as well. It is technically possible for an animal to have both lungs and gills, there just isn't any animal that utilizes it. I respect your opinion, however, I am all for giving Godzilla gills as it helps explain how he's able to stay submerged for as long as he does.

I'm all for updating Godzilla, and of course the suit has changed many times over the years, but did they really have to give him gills?? That's a bit too much in my opinion. I know they are going for "realism," but there are plenty of animals who live in water and don't have gills. I don't wanna let it ruin the movie for me, bu gills??? Really???

US is going to face major economic situations.

Considering that Godzilla practically laid ruin to the cities of Hawaii and San Francisco, possibly killing over a million people in the process would mean lawsuits and destruction fees, possibly putting the toll of the destruction at a very high price.

I like how you used only Godzilla 2014 toys to show Godzila's growth and not just different Godzilla toys from different eras.
