MemberBaragonMar-17-2014 9:54 PMAfter seeing the NECA model and the JAKKS model, one question still bugs me. One defining feature of Godzilla is his 3 rows of spikes running down his back. So just how big are Godzilla's spike going to be in this 2014 movie? The NECA model's Godzilla spikes look in proportion while the JAKK's model's Godzilla spikes look too small in relation to the monster. So which is more accurate?

MemberBaragonMar-17-2014 10:45 PMThanks EoGodzilla. I hope you are right, since a Godzilla to me just isn't "complete" without his properly proportioned spikes. :)

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-17-2014 11:30 PMI don't know :/ I really like how the design is looking so far, but the spines still look small to me. In the toys, the spines are kind of small. But in the trailer and some images the spines look big enough. I really like the design they have, but his spines should be this big, menacing feature, not something that seems just in there for the fact of just putting spines on a creature...
"Its a Tyrannosaurus."
"I don't think so... It sounds bigger. It sounds like death; the destroyer of worlds...."

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-18-2014 11:53 AMThe spines on the kids figures are downsized because it can harm a kid greatly.
The spines are much bigger then that. All trailers are suggesting this.

MemberBaragonMar-18-2014 9:16 PMYeah, the trailers do suggest bigger spikes. But I'm...just worried. Call it the lingering skepticism against Hollywood if you like. Everything I've seen so far of this 2014 Godzilla design looks spot on, but I still have a lagging worry. Maybe after the '98 version, I just can't so easily trust Hollywood with Godzilla design. Yeah I know, probably unwarranted concerns given how Edwards seem to really care about Godzilla. Oh well, lets hope Edwards is right.

MemberMothra LarvaeMar-20-2014 3:41 AMBack in my day, the Imperial Godzilla figures had spikes the size of your hand and if you somehow hurt yourself on them, it was your own damn fault!
